I read all 100+ reviews first. I pre-boiled the potatoes, then sliced very thin. I used a large crockery square so there was just one layer of potatoes. I used heavy cream, as I needed to get that used up, & put in (dried) minced onions, some minced garlic,some parsley & added a slurry of flour & water stirring it in slowly. After pouring the sauce over the potatoes I crushed a bit of rosemary over the top, then sprinkled some Parmesan cheese, then a light dusting of smoked paprika. I baked at 375 for 1/2 an hour.
