About me:
I live in what has to be one of the best places in the USA; Sunnyvale, California...it even sounds happy, doesn't it. The weather is great, 89% of the time, the city was voted 2nd safest in the nation for a city of our size, and we are proud to be one of the most diverse city's around. As for me, I have spent most of my life in service to others; mostly people with disabilities. Most recently I was a Dean at a Community College overseeing several departments, my favorite being Transfer & Career Services, where we helped people attain their dreams through education. Unfortunately I have become completely disabled myself and was asked to leave the college. So now, I am at home learning how to do things differently. Cooking is one of the hardest as I am in a wheelchair and my house is not built for people in chairs.

I wish I had all the ingredients to make this recipe as given even so - this recipe came out as a 5 star without the ham, pepper or paprika! I loved it! Thanks for the recipe it is a keeper and I promise to have all the ingredients next time I make it.

Herald's Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie

great! NOTE TO NON-AMERICAN-EATERS: this does NOT taste like some can-inspired casserole. as long as you spice it up! i added sliced hot peppers (cooked with the beef), reduced the beef, added some olive oil, added some finely chopped garlic, added canned peas, added asparagus (turned out too thready/hard to cut), added salt, added red pepper spice, added a small package of crushed red pepper (would not do this in the future). i also wish that the crust was on the bottom as well as top... next time i'll consider pouring some on the bottom first, or maybe just mixing it with the meat sauce... next time i'll also try to make it more healthy using mozerella cheese instead of cheddar slices.

Jo-Ann's Power Bars

Reviewed on Aug. 4, 2009 by summer
Will try this one again... I left in the oven for 7 extra minutes because the top was still soft at the time they were supposed to be ready-- and I took a little taste and it tasted raw. But 7 minutes was too long-- they were no longer chewy enough.
