Pat's Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
The dumplings were just right, easy to make, I did use my food processor. I do wish I would have added more water since I live in the desert my dough is often dry, nonetheless, even though the dough was a little dry, the dumplings turned out perfect, I'm going to use this recipe from now on.

Cornish Game Hens with Garlic and Rosemary

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
My husband and I loved this recipe. I followed the advice of another reviewer, and chopped the rosemary and added that and lemon juice to softened butter, and rubbed that under the skin of the game hens. I'll make this again. it was very easy and pretty to look at on the plate.

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
I made this for an office Christmas potluck and everyone raved about it. This was my first attempt. Instead of cooking it on high for 4 hours. I cooked it on low for 8 hours and also added Garlic Salt and Pepper for a little more flavor. I also eliminate the butter and noodles and served it over steamed white rice. Yum!! Thanks for the easy peasy recipe.

Gingerbread Boys

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2008
These are the best gingerbead cookies my family has tried, hands down.soft, but made nice little gingerbead boys. I followed bakers suggestion to use only large eggs, my dough rolled easily after flowering the board and rolling pin. I did use Molassis instead of dark corn syrup. We had our first gingerbread cookie party with our little grandsons today, we had fun making the cookies and smelling them bake. It made the Christmas season very special for all of us!

Pesto Chicken Florentine

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
This was just wonderful. Our daughter and son in law stopped by un-expectedly for dinner, and we all gave this 5 stars. I normally don't make things from packages, but I wanted to try the Alfredo mix to try the true recipe. However I did make my own pesto, (basil, walnuts, olive oil. This is a keeper! Thanks for sharing.

Mama's Best Broiled Tomato Sandwich

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2008
My husband was very reluctant to try this sandwich, but after one bite he enthusiastically declared it a "keeper!" What a wonderful accompaniment it was to a creamy soup dinner. I slightly increased the mayo spread amounts and used thickly sliced homemade (from the local bakery) bread and toasted it well. We made open faced sandwiches and loved every single bite. We also added more cheese and made sure it had browned before taking the sandwiches out of the oven. This sandwich will be a regular family favorite in our house!

Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon with Port Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2008
Really good. I was looking for a way to cook some beef fillet tips I had. So I used those for the meat. The recipe was very easy to make. It reminded me of the bleu cheese topped fillet mignon we once had at Ruths Criss Steak House. Only MUCH more affordable!

Golden Rum Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
This is a very delicious cake. I was hoping for some kind of thick caramel glaze, but decided to trust the recipe. The glaze did thicken a bit when it cooled, but I loved that it was thin enough to penetrate the cake and make a rich gooey crust that was to die for. The cake is perfectly moist. I wouldn't change a thing.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
Yummylicious! This is so different, and quite easy to make. I must say, it makes me sad when some people change most of a recipe, then when it doesn't turn out right, they take away stars. I changed nothing and give it five stars. *For cooks wanting to try this recipe however, I might cut the salt in half next time. We love salt, but my hubby and I both thought less salt would take it over the top, that's the only change we would make. Thanks for bringing something new to our table!

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
My family said these were the best cinnamon rolls they've ever had. I made them up the night before, and put them on parchment paper on a cookie sheet and set them in the fridge. I went to sleep thinking of how gorgeous they would be baked up in the morning.... I got up, let them rise, and well, they all opened up into very lose pinwheels and were very funny looking. We decided next time to put them in a 9x13 baking pan close together. We decided I should make these every Saturday night for a Sunday mornig treat.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2008
I don't use the word perfect very often but I've always wanted to make a great pizza and today I finally achieved that with this recipe. I did let it rise, then spread it out onto a deep cookie sheet. this made a large pizza with a nice thin but not dry crust. I was inspired to make pizza after visiting a highly rated pizza restaurant in Hollywood. I'm happy to say I was not at all disappointed by this recipe! I think our home made pizza was even better.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

I'm enjoying one of these with a cup of tea as I write. Absolutely wonderful, the perfect afternoon snack with the right amount of sweet and salt. Soft and chewy. I simply used 2 sticks of butter instead of the shortening and margarine, otherwise I changed nothing. Thank you for the recipe!

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2007
I am a vegetarian but my boyfriend is not, and he is not a vegetable frendly guy so I made this recipe without the spinach. Not only was this a fun recipe to make but really easy. he loved it and gave it 5 stars. I did the buttermilk suggestion and used cheddar cheese and monterey jack and seasoned the sour cream. When I make it again, I will set some filling aside and ad the spinach for something on my plate. Thanks for posting!

Chicken Stew with Dumplings

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2007
Yummy yum yum. To simplify the cooking process, I went ahead and put the chicken ingredients in my new Westbend versatility slow cooker this morning to test it out. Then I made the recipe as instructed, except tossing the dumpling ingredients into the food processor first, then topping the stew with them as directed. This was super easy and the BEST chicken and dumplings I've ever had. I've been searching forever for this kind of recipe. We will put it on a weekly menu. I also saved out enough chicken for sandwiches tomorrow!

Awsome, this has been a huge hit with my family and friends. I add extra rice as well as chunks of carrots, celery, onion and more tomatos just because we like it like that. And I was just told my version is better than the best Mexican restraunt here where we live! :D
