Gourmet Root Beer Float

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2008
Love root beer floats! Another float that is delicious is lemon lime soda with lime sherbet, or really any sherbet flavor with a clear soda. So refreshing in the summer!

Chicken Teriyaki - It's a Secret

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2008
I also made this at a family BBQ. I let it sit all night in the fridge in ziplock baggies. I used a whole bottle of soy low sodium and a jar of mayo. I did add a bit of garlic powder and perrper. I made 15 lbs of chicken breasts. Everyone asked for the recipe. So moist and not so sweet. Just perfect!!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

This is the best. SO So tasty!!! I made this at a family BBQ and it went over well. I only added 1 can of Jalapenos. We do not like it so HOT. We had it with sourdough bread. Perfect!!

Spicy Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2008
I really liked the recipe after I tweaked it a bit. I changed the measurements of all the ingredients and left out the salt because I used regular soy sauce. I also left out the cumin since I wanted to make it more an Asian inspired burger. One thing I added which I feel made it more like a Thai burger is along with the chopped cilantro is that I added mint. Love that combo! I also added a bit of canola oil and a beaten egg. I feel that this made them hold together and come out very moist.

Fluffy Whole Wheat Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
Very Good, i made it within minutes of reading this recipes because it was simple. I didn't have any whole wheat flour, so i used all all purpose flour and it was still very good, i would lower the temp next time because they were a little overcooked at the bottom.

These were very moist and soooo tasty. Recipe can also be baked in a 9x5" loaf pan in 350 deg oven for 40-45 minutes. Any flavor cake mix can also be used. It's great made with a German Chocolate cake mix.

Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2008
For what this recipe has in it, it's pretty good! Just a can of soup, some broccoli, a little cheese, and some chicken!?! WOW, Super easy and tasted good too! If you don't have the cheese it will still come out tasting good, it just wont be as thick or creamy of a sauce. Oh, and the pickey little brother of the family liked it too.

Pumpkin Sheet Cake

Reviewed: May 23, 2008
This was given to me by a friend after I had my baby. I fell in love with it. I make it through out the year. The only change is I subsitute half the oil for applesauce. I've made it both ways and it taste the same. So yummy. And the frosting is to die for. I agree that you can't leave that out. I did leave the nuts out. Try it, it's something different than pumpkin pie.

Wonderful Fried Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2008
I made this the other night and wonderful doesn't even describe how good these where! I used Bud Light for the beer because thats what I had on hand. I also used tilapia fish. Instead of just mayo for the white sauce I mixed equal parts of sour cream and mayo and a dash of cumin and about a tsp of lime juice. I also made my own tomitillo salsa and pico de gallo. These were better then the tacos you can buy out. Thanks for the recipe!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2008
This recipe is great. I did do the subsitutions with the applesauce for oil and added more zucchini. My husband loved it! He said he wasn't sure at first since his mom makes the "best" bread. Not anymore, and it's healthier too. Which he didn't even notice! Love it, love it!
