About me:
Born in Mexico...raised a California girl, I'm always trying to find my roots with my cooking. I have a big family with my mom as matriarch and master cook. So I have some big shoes to fill. In the meantime, I work full time and am raising 3 kids (a husband) and the ugliest dog in the world.

Blooming Onion and Dipping Sauce

Reviewed on May 8, 2008 by Keri S.
LOVE IT!!!!! I agree with the other poster about doubling the batter if you cut up the onion in rings or petals. Great recipe. We went out and bought a fryer so we can make it more often.

Wonderful Fried Fish Tacos

Reviewed on Apr. 24, 2008 by Armywife
I made this the other night and wonderful doesn't even describe how good these where! I used Bud Light for the beer because thats what I had on hand. I also used tilapia fish. Instead of just mayo for the white sauce I mixed equal parts of sour cream and mayo and a dash of cumin and about a tsp of lime juice. I also made my own tomitillo salsa and pico de gallo. These were better then the tacos you can buy out. Thanks for the recipe!

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed on Feb. 27, 2008 by Shauna
This was a very moist Pork Roast I have ever made & tasted. I shredded the leftover and we had Barbeque Sandwiches the next day meal. I just use the juice from roast and add Barbeque sauce and heat them together, It was just about as good as the Roast.
