Ghirardelli® Chocolate Waffles

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
Had leftover Ghirardelli powder from a choc cake experiment so decided to use this recipe. Not bad. I recommend using the choc chips--might've been a 4star if I did use it. We don't like things too sweet but without the chips it wasn't sweet enough. Tastes more chocolately than sweet.Smelled heavenly while baking. And although I didn't whip my egg whites (I hate doing it, just laziness) it still came out fluffy inside and crispy outside. Not sure if i will make again but will keep the recipe on file.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
I followed DAWN SHAW's advice and used chicken legs instead of the whole chicken cause thats all i had and it only took 4 hours for my chicken to be cooked, not 9. that's my only complaint, cause i wanted it for dinner and not lunch. other than that, it was great.

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
Mine came out soupy but that was my fault for adding the whole can of soup for only 3 chicken breasts. I added sour cream to the soup and milk and it was good. Next time, i plan on using the crock pot way and also cubing my meat and maybe even adding some broccoli.

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
Yum! you don't have to boil the lasagna noodles, just leave them sitting in super hot water while you prepare everything else and by the time you need them, they are nice and tender :) I added a beaten egg, some mozzerella and parmesan cheese to the ricotta to give it more of a lasagna taste. i only added one package of spinach and felt like even that was a bit much. wasn't too fond of the spinach so maybe next time i'll add something like broccoli or maybe just the plain chicken. overall though, it was great. my only complaint is that i had a ton of dishes to wash afterwards :)

Thanksgiving Corn Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
I was skeptical about making the Corn Pudding at first cause I dont really prepare many sweets, so I made just enough for 2-3 servings. I was amazed at the simplicity of this recipe and loved the way it came out. Not a desert by any means. I cant wait to add it to my endless amount of dishes I serve during the holidays. I dont know why other reviews say the the topping is no good, i think they may have burnt the sauce topping and or undercooked it. Mine was great. Thanks for sharing this recipe. Oh yea one more thing i did do was I doubled the recipe so that my pudding was not just a thin layer in my 9x13 pan.

Old Bay® Crab Cakes

A really good crab cake recipe. I needed a bit more zing so some chopped garlic(tsp) and a tsp of Tabasco livened them up to my taste. Old Bay is soo good for so many recipes.

Corn and Black Bean Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
Excellent salad. I use it frequently with BarBQ meats, or lovely with just some corn bread, or maybe a small bowl of soup, this is awesome! But I will have to admit, I use lime juice in place of the balsamic vinegar and I like it so much better. But the rest is the best!

Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
I used chocolate grahams, because that's what I had on hand...Oh my gosh, is this ever good. I used 9 "whole" graham crackers, it does not specify in the recipe what 9 means, 9 little rectangles or the entire cracker. This is easy and very tasty. I drissled chocolate syrup over each slice. Try this, whomever eats this will be impressed and want another piece!! By the way, I did not think this was too peanutty. I also used french vanilla ice cream.

I grew up in Seattle Washington and pride myself on knowing good seafood. This is a great recipe and very easy to make. My two and three year old enjoyed it as well. Try sour dough with the meal, I think it brings out some very subtle flavors. Good recipe.

Black Bean And Corn Salad I

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
I like it, i give it 4 stars cause i am was the obly one eating it at my last BBQ and now I am stuck with a bunch. First i changed the number of servings to be for 20 people, I had 34 proplr over. When I start to BBQ everyone comes out cause they know I get down on the grill. so when I made it for 20 it looked like i made enough for 40-50 people. So remember that when making it makes a lot. I also added tomatoes from my garden and green bellpeppers as well. I put fresh Jalepenos on the side cause i like spice but not everyone does. All in all it was good recipe but it makes a lot.

Sophie's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
Ok, I thought the recipe is great. I had tyo make some changes due to the fact i didnt look in my pantry to make sure i had everything before i started. So I used half golden brown suger and half white suger. I also went half and half with wheat flour and regular flour. The bread came out very moist and sweat. Lots of flavor. I love making breads. The cinimon is a very nice touch to this recipe, makes it so you can eat it for breakfast or lunch or as a dessert. Will make many more times.
