Southern BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
A 5 STAR RECIPE, BUT COULD ONLY GIVE IT 4 BECAUSE OF THE TROUBLE OF BREAKING THE RECIPE DOWN FOR ONE FAMILY, INSTEAD OF AN ARMY. SORRY!

Erica's Delicious Slow Cooker Beef Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
Excellent recipe. I noticed that everyone adds their special spice here and there, but thats OK, because everyone is different and has their own tastes. I'm no different. I've made it exactly like the recipe calls for and it's great. After a few meals, I too started adding a few items. I always cube a few potatoes and slice 1 1/2 sweet onions to the roast. Like some others, I add a tablespoon of L&P sauce. I also add one teaspoon of Gravy Master browning sauce, one teaspoon of liquid smoke and a can of cream of potato soup. This is all done using a 2 lb. roast. (I like to use Londoin Broil.) Just remember, everyone has different tastes, and no change in this recipe should be considered right or wrong. Also remember that Erica's original recipe makes a perfect roast, too.

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2008
I was loyal to my banana bread recipe for years but wanted to try something new when I ran out of shortening and had old bananas on hand. So glad I stumbled upon this recipe! I've made it with both buttermilk and sour cream instead - both fantastic! I always add a little vanilla. Wrap it up in plastic wrap after it's cool and you will have the moistest banana bread ever. I can't wait for the loaf to come out of the oven! Thanks!

This is quick and easy, and my family enjoyed it. I also added a few dashes of cinnamon and sugar along with a splash of vanilla. It turned out perfectly. Very good! We will try this again!

French Silk Chocolate Pie I

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2008
Really great recipe!! What I did to fill up the extra space [it really isn't enough filling and I didn't think of doubling the mix until I read the reviews] was make a batch of whipped cream and just piped that in and then sprinkeld chocolate over the whole thing.

Texas Sheet Cake V

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
Yummmm! I followed the ingredient measurements exactly. I made it in a 9x13 pan because that's what I had, and I had to bake it longer. I did check it every 5 mins after the 20 min mark; the toothpick finally came out clean after 35 minutes. I followed others' suggestions to add 1/2 tsp cinnamon to the flour mixture and also to sift the confectioners sugar for the icing, which eliminated any lumpiness. It turned out to be such a moist cake with smooth chocolaty icing...just great!
