Chicken Breast Stuffed with Spinach Blue Cheese and Bacon

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
Although I didn't have bacon OR blue cheese, this recipe still came out fantastically! I substituted spreadable Swiss and grated Asiago cheese. The boyfriend and I both felt it would have been too salty with both bacon and blue cheese, but I might still try the original recipe. I also butterflied the chicken, rather than pounding it flat.

Barbequed Ribs

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
This recipe is now my go-to for ribs! I just put the rub on the raw meat and refrigerate it overnight. The following day I bake them per the recipe (but wrapped in a foil packet) and may or may not actually grill them. When I'm not going to grill them, I just put the ribs in a foil packet with the unsimmered sauce and bake as usual. They come out amazingly tender, and the sugar in the sauce actually chars a little to make it almost taste like it was on the BBQ! The rub is what makes the ribs. And it even tastes great on chicken!

Grilled Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2008
Excellent marinade! We all loved it, I followed the recipe very closely adding a bit more garlic, it was a keeper! I used bell pepper, mushrooms, red onion squares, and cherry tomatoes in the marinade as well as on the kabobs and it was GREAT! I also did a separate shrimp skewers with another recipe from this site, we all agreed next time to use this recipes marinade on the shrimps next time!

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2008
This was way too salty, I also made the grilled chicken kabob recipe from this site and found that marinade to be far superior and would use it for the shrimp and veggies next time i do kabobs, the family also agreed the chicken recipe was a keeper!

Cranberry Rum Punch

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
this punch was MUCH stronger than i had expected, but i guess it did the job! i ended up doubling up on the amount of ginger ale and cranberry juice, and squeezing in some fresh lime, just so that there was some other flavor besides rum. even still, i couldn't help but feel like my party guests and i were at prom and somebody had excessively spiked the punch...

Blueberry Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
absolutely delicious! i even used frozen blueberries but you couldn't tell that they weren't fresh. they tasted amazing right out of the oven, later that night, the next morning, etc., but my roommates liked them so much that they didn't last much longer than that... p.s. i added an extra crunch to the top by mixing oatmeal in with the cinnamon and sugar. SO good!

Zucchini Soup II

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
The soup was pretty good. But I definetly recommend not to use cream of mushroom soup or margarine. Adding half and half, sour cream or just milk would taste much better. I will make again without adding cream of mushroom soup. Soup is tasty enough without adding the extra fat from the margarine

Chicken Enchiladas with Creamy Green Chile Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
This recipe was delicious!! I read the other comments and used less sour cream ~1/2 cup and substituted the remaining sour cream for cream cheese. To the sauce I added chopped garlic, jalapenos, garlic salt and a little verde salsa, and paparika. I also added a little corn starch to thicken the sauce, I am not sure I needed it, but I was afraid the sauce would have been to thin. For cheese I used 1/2 monteray jack and 1/2 mozzarella. After baking topped with extra white onion. It turned out wonderfully. Will definetly make again.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
Scrumptious! I had ground turkey for dinner and I was getting tired of the same old stuff. Hubby suggested burgers, so off to Allrecipes I went. I had to make a couple of changes due to what was in my pantry. I used Italian Seasoning with the bread crumbs because I didn't have seasoned bread crumbs, and I exchanged green onions for white (I hate onions except for green). I melted cheese over the top and oh were they delicious! I can't wait till my hubby comes home to try them!

Banana Nut Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2008
the perfect amount of bananalicous flavor all wrapped up in a muffin! a definite winner with my roommate! i added extra walnuts and about a cup of flaky, multi-grain cereal for extra texture. then i mixed that same cereal with some brown sugar to create a sweet and crunchy topping.

Pumpkin Cookies V

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2007
wow. i made these for a party and LITERALLY had to hide them from my family so they wouldn't get eaten up! i used pumpkin spice instead of cinnamon and i suggest drizzling the frosting over the cookies in a criss-cross pattern to get just the right amount of sweet.
