Amish Friendship Bread I

I cannot tell you how many times I have made this to rave reviews. I have experimented and added many different things like cocoa and chocolate chips, banana and pineapple, apple and raisin, etc. but my personal favorite is still the cinnamon. Thanks for sharing a great recipe that has become an old favorite in our home.

Grandma's Gingersnap Cookies

What a great recipe- the house smells wonderful, they look pretty, and they have an awesome taste. My 3 year old neice is here, and I gave her two when they came out of the oven. I could hear her sitting at the table going m-m-m-m when she was eating them. She brought me her plate, and when I told her to put it in the dishwasher, she said "I think I need more." After sampling one myself, I have to agree, I think I need more too. lol. So I am making myself a cup of tea and am going to sit down and savor some of these. I would love to know how they taste after they have had a couple of days for the flavors to mellow, but I am sure they will be gone when the kids get home from school. Great recipe! Thanks so much for sharing this family treasure.

Big, fat and chewy! Make sure you don't overcook. My first batch was overcooked even though I cooked for the time in the recipe. The rest of the sheets I pulled out about 3 minutes early.

Caramel Shortbread Squares

The taste was fantastic, along with the caramel. The crust could use help though. It falls apart way too easily. I have a shortbread recipe that is perfect and that is what I am going to use for the crust from now on.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

I love this recipe and use it all the time, so does my husband. Everyone always compliments and it has converted a few of my friends who use box mixes to start making cakes from scratch. Super tasty and moist! We love it with chocolate whipped cream for the frosting.

Absolutely Best Brownies

I am a firm believer that homemade is always better, but I have yet to discover brownies that I like better than my favorite boxed mix. I tried a million brownie recipes from this site and others to try to find one that I liked better than my favorite boxed recipe. This recipe is the best of the ones that I have tried so far. If I frost them they are my favorite ever, but if eaten without frosting they still don't have that tasty crusty top that boxed mixes have. But super tasty anyways!

this is my new favorite rice to serve with mexican food.super tasty! if serving to little ones make sure the jalapenos aren't too spicy before you add them, not that it stopped my three year old, she just kept a glass of milk nearby!

Blueberry Cream Muffins

I made these for a bridal shower brunch and everyone loved them. My husband said they were the best blueberry muffins ever. He was eating the batter(that is just what he does) and he kept saying it was so delicious. Definitely a keeper!!

Potluck Spareribs
