Easy Turkey Tetrazzini

I used one can of cream of celery and 1 can of cream of mushroom and added half a can of milk and the creaminess was just right. I also added broccoli.

Black Halloween Punch

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
I loved this! I tried this at my last Halloween party. Everyone loved it. I added a mixture of food dyes though, because it did come out more brown than black... Another twist: why be limited to just grape and orange? I also tried this using a variety of dark colored kool-aids. Yummy! For the adults: a little splash of vanilla vodka makes this one a killer!

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
I've used this recipe twice now for Thanksgiving... Last year, it came out beautiful. My mom doesn't like pumpkin pie, but she LOVED this one. The texture was great... this is big in my texture-sensitive family! The only difference I made was I seasoned it to taste. Excellent recipe!

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

This was very similar in taste to the Cranberry Pot Roast recipe that I LOVE. The french dressing didn't add much of a dimension in my opinion. Still tasted fantastic though!

I added broccoli as well and put in panko crumbs, paprika and garlic salt and it was still rather bland in my opinion.

I loved this recipe. I'm a big fan of mushrooms so I used a little more than the recipe called for but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. I will definitely make again.

Slow Cooker Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
I made recipe with ground turkey and filled the tomato paste can with water and added that. It was a little dry on the bottom but not bad. It was rather bland. I'm chalking that up to the tomato sauce I used and the turkey meat. May make again but not for a while and will for sure make it differently. Possibly add more garlic too.

Lemon Chicken Tenders

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
The first few bites were heaven then the lemon started to get too strong because I only used 1/4 cup of sugar. Next time I will use 1/3 cup of sugar instead. I also used Italian bread crumbs as well as a panko. It goes excellent with rice!

Cranberry Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
The flavor was heaven! The cranberry flavor was subtle but VERY good! Next time I think I'll try using the cranberry sauce with chunks in it. It was perfect with the 'fanned baked potato' recipe. This will be our staple pot roast recipe!

Easy Peach Crisp II

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
My sister and I made this last night with peaches/nectarines that were getting too soft, and our whole family (and neighbors) loved it! We made half the original recipe, and substitutions because we were afraid of so much white flour and sugar, so we ended up with the following: 5 peaches, 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup all-pur. flour, 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/4 cup packed brown sugar, pinch of salt, 3/4 tsp cinnamon, pinch of nutmeg, and a sliver less than 1 stick of butter. Did everything according to the recipe, but the measurements gave us too much topping and not enough fruit--we filled our glass gratin bowl, a tiny loaf pan, AND a small pie pan filled with a quickly chopped fuji apple. That's how much extra crisp topping we had, but the end result was such a wonderful hot crisp to go perfectly with vanilly ice cream. Thank you!

To make this a super easy meal, I buy the frozen breaded tilapia at Costco, bake it, and break it into pieces. I buy the shredded coleslaw and top with the sauce in this receipe.

Slow-Cooked Chili

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
This was a great dish, but the reason I cook and not bake, is because I can NEVER just stick to a recipe. SOOOO... I substitued 1lb of beef for 1 lb of JimmyDean Hot Sausage. I added diced green bellpepper, can of corn, the diced tomotoes had the diced chili's already with it, and then added another can of diced medium heat chilis. I also added cumin. It was a hit with a bite!!!
