Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
If this rating was for flavor alone I would have rated it 5 stars. It was yummy. The pie came out way too runny. Something is not right with this recipe. It didn't thicken up. I loved the taste thou. I am thinking about thickening the ingrendents by cooking it on the stove top first possibly. Maybe only cook half of it this way then add the other half of the berries and bake it in the pie crusts? It was too runny. What a mess.

Wow! I read the ingredients wrong and I over cooked the meat and it was still one of the best steaks I've ever had! My husband loved it and even my 19 month old loved it! This will become a once a week dinner for us! We tried it on chicken too and still yummy!

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Like others, I baked this in the oven, doubled the sauce recipe, and got rave reviews. When I asked my husband what he thought, he said, "I am so tired of pork chops, but this was great. Different and tasty!"

Korean BBQ Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
LOVE this recipe. I have made numerous occasions including many bbqs. They do great on drumsticks especially if you char them slightly on the grill. Get this great smokey korean flavor. Cooking up a batch tonight for my in-laws. I use a vietnamese garlic chile paste which tastes great in this recipe. You can find it at most asian markets. Thanks for this recipe!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: May 3, 2009
Terrific! I've looked for a good pancake recipe forever - this is it. I think it's way too thick so I added an extra 1/3c milk. Also added 1t vanilla. Absolutely no way this recipe is good for 8 servings - 3 to 4 maybe, unless your group eats like birds!

Madeleines II

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
Excellent! I have tried so many recipes for madeleines and this one was the best hands down. I changed absolutely nothing and they were perfection. Great texture and flavor. Only problem I am having is keeping them out of my mouth, ha,ha. I could eat half of the batch myself. Thank you for this simple lovely recipe.

Pesto Pasta with Green Beans and Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
I love this website and use it a lot. I've been irritated more than once when there is a long string of people who have rated a recipe really high and then someone gives it a one star - I just don't see how that can happen. You should have a sense of what you're getting when you try a recipe and if it has things about it which you know you don't care for (eg, it's spicy and you like bland)- then don't bother cause you're going in with a negative attitude. Well, this is a long way of saying I reallllly did not care for this recipe - and I don't know why. It is adventuresome - interesting mix of ingredients, all of which I like individually. Partly I think it was the potatoes - their texture was weird with all the other ingredients. I used frozen green beans and I added some chunks of white chicken meat - other than that, followed exactly as written. This just did not work for me.

Blender Hollandaise Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2009
yum! I made mine in a food processor and it was sooo delicious. Came out the perfect consistency. The first time i made it i tried to cut it in half but it didnt thicken right. I assumed it was because there was less hot butter to thicken it. I melted/simmered my butter in a sauce pan then immediately transferred to a liquid measuring cup and used that to add the steady stream of hot butter into food processor. I also added pepper instead of tobasco. Im very hollandaise picky but this recipe is great and its so easy!
