Broccoli Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
I love this recipe! It's got a surprising amount of flavor that is quite interesting. However, I realized last night, that the difference between what I'm eating and what other raters might be eating is that I am using smokey cheddar cheese. That with a little salt and pepper is just fantastic. I also am using fresh broccoli. My fiance likes softer veggies so I steamed his broccoli and onions before baking since I like things a bit crunchier. Didn't matter, it was all soft last night. Another difference, though, and the one I attribute the softer broccoli and onions to, is that I doubled the bisquit mix, milk and eggs. It was a perfect amount of pie. Next time, I am going to double all but add a tad more baking mix (instead of 1/2 cup I'll use 1 1/2 cups) than I used last night and then I think it will be right where I want it. This is definitely a good recipe to start with, though, in my opinion. We both have loved it each time it's been made.

Chicken Fried Steak III

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
I made a composite of this recipe. Instead of putting the majority of the seasonings in the gravy, I put them all in the flour mix. Doing that and following the steps of dredging in flour, egg, then flour again, this made the most fantastic chicken fried steak I have ever had! My fiance loved this, as well, claiming it was also the best he'd ever had. It was definitely awesome!

Pork Chop Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2007
I don't know that the pork chops are necessary - this is a fantastic potato casserole. The pork chops definitely weren't destroyed in this process, though, and it was all very fantastic. I will definitely make the potatoes and pork chops again.

Delish! My husband made this yummy fish dish - He left out the peanut and sesame oils - he substituted 1 tsp olive oil for the sesame. The smell of the merinate was wonderful ( we are going to try it with other things )and the aroma from the grill was really nice! A recipe we will use over and over!

Simple Ranch Chicken Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2007
Yummy recipe! I used 1/2 the celery because my hubby isn't a big celery fan, and I opted for baked chunks of chicken instead of the canned.I had him try it cold - and then he heated it up in the microwave just to see how it was warmed. He gave it a thumbs up either way. I will definately make it again! I'm going to add pimentos for a little more color next time, and I plan on trying it with tuna instead of chicken sometime. A fabulous - what can I add to this - recipe!

These potatoes are heavenly and anyone I've made them for seems to think I slaved forever in the kitchen even though this is a pretty quick recipe. I love making these potatoes!

Lover's Loaf

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2007
This is the most spectacular meatloaf you will ever eat! And it's so much fun to make. I made this for my boyfriend of a month for the first time and he asks for this all the time. It has a great mix of flavors and is very easy. I do use four slices of cheese on each loaf and that adds to the overall amazingness, but even if you follow the recipe to the letter, it still is well worth your while to try it! Additional comment 10/09: My husband (boyfriend mentioned above) still asks for this all the time - and raves about it to other people making them want to try it, too. I think that, of everything I cook, this is his most requested meal. Nowadays, I saute the spinach instead of wilting it. I saute that spinach with leeks and it is wonderful! I also double the cheese (SUPER healthy!) so that each bite is oozing with the cheese.

Best Ever Cheese Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2003
Oh I love this recipe...my co-workers place orders durning this time of the year. It is smooth and delightful. The only person that did not truely accpet this dessert hates cheese, but she loved it at first then hated it when I told her what it was made out of. It is very firm when you put it in the fridge over night and if you forget to put in the vanilla like I did it does not hurt and really made it better.... Great job
