This delicious side dish is packed with nutrition. Sweet potatoes, onions and almonds are powerhouses of antioxidants and other nutrients -- in fact, almonds are among the most nutrient-dense foods, containing high concentrations of vitamins and minerals per calorie. Plus, olive oil and almonds contain monounsaturated fat -- the good type.

I make this hummus all the time. It only takes a few minutes to prepare, and it's healthier without the oil. Increase or decrease the ingredients as desired, especially the jalapenos! Serve with pita chips or fresh veggie slices. Add more of the reserved bean liquid for a smoother dip.

Make this classic lasagna recipe zestier by using hot Italian sausage or a little milder with regular Italian sausage. Don't be scared off by the long cooking time. The wait is well worth it. It's a great dish to make for a crowd and easy to adjust for varying tastes. The leftovers are even better when reheated the next day.

Sometimes the basics are the best! I've used this simple recipe for years to make garlic bread, and any leftovers go great on barbequed steaks, pasta, rice or potatoes. You can use any butter or margarine you like. Also, fresh or minced garlic in a jar works well. Adjust the amount of garlic to your taste.

Moist tender trout is draped in a creamy Parmesan cheese coating that makes this dish elegant enough to serve company. 'I picked up this recipe at the campground where we were staying,' says Mary Zimmerman of Spring Lake, Michigan. 'I also use the delicious sour cream mixture on salmon.'

Bok Choy, Carrots and Green Beans

We love stir fry. It 's so orderly. First come the shallots, then the carrots and then the beans. Then the bok choy, the veggie broth and the soy sauce. That 's it. Delicious.

This is a delicious recipe for ham and potato soup that a friend gave to me. It is very easy and the great thing about it is that you can add additional ingredients, more ham, potatoes, etc and it still turns out great.

Sweet Vidalia onions, lots of avocado, and grilled chicken breasts marinated in steak sauce seem to do the trick. This pasta salad is indeed the best. Add in a huge dollop of Ranch dressing, an hour or so of chilling, and the best just got better.
