Very yummy! I used only 1/2 lbs of bacon and 3lbs of lamb and more veggies. I also used Guinness instead of the wine. Everyone loved it!

Hubby said it was "weird but ok tasting". I thought it was ok. I don't think I'll make again but it wasn't bad, just not my thing.

I make this in my food processor and it's super easy! Takes only a minute or two, and it's my go to recipe for pie crust. I have recommended it to several people. very easy to work with.

tried this once with Splenda, and it came out tasting salty, which was odd... figured out it was the coco and the splenda not working out right together. made it a second time with real sugar and it was spectacular!! I definitely recommend making it with real sugar, it's well worth the calories.

This is the same recipe from the 2004 Taste of Home Cookbook. Nancy, thank you so much for this recipe. I am glad I can finally tell you how I appreciate it. We had the same thing in church camp but back then we called them ZOMBIES, I don't know why. When I shared this recipe with my sister she was so happy, it has brought back fond memories for the two of us. Now my children make them with me. We have also tried it with chicken, green chili and jack cheese.

Campbell's® Slow Cooker Savory Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
This was very good however the meat was tough. I cooked on high for 4 1/2 hours. Not sure if I accidentally chose the wrong cut of roast or if it's the cooking time that created the tough texture. I did sear the outside of the meat on the stove as many others suggested and added Montreal Steak Seasoning.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
These are wonderful!! I followed the directions exactly the first time, and they turned out really good. This second time, I substituted 1/4 of the white sugar for brown, used 2 TBS of molasses, omitted the water, and substituted butter for margarin, and my family loved them even more! I use a 1 TBS dough scoop to get them the perfect size. I also take a orange juice glass, dipped in sugar, to lightly press them down. Next time, I'm going to try the orange juice as another reviewer suggested.

Split Pea Soup Atu

Deff. read the reviews before you start. I also used about 1/2 the water and added rice towards the end. Could have used a bit more pepper flakes or hot pepper sauce, but it was delich!! Hubby raved about it. I also cooked it in a crock pot for about 6 hours (high to start, then on low for about 4 hours). I threw in some leftover turkey from Thanksgiving too...

Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
To the lady below that asked about the Butterball... I have done several fresh Butterball turkeys in a brine and they come out great. I wouldn't go over 1 1/2 days in the brine though. Some brines will go as long as 3 days... stick to 24-28 hrs. you should be fine!!!

Peanut Butter Cookies IV

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
This is a really good, moist cookie recipe! There is one minor adjustment that I made - I turned the oven down from 375 to 350. At 10 minutes they will look slightly underdone. Let them cool for 3-5 minutes on the cookie sheet, then remove them to a cooling rack for another 10 minutes. Cookies always continue to bake after they're first pulled from the oven. This prevents over baked cookies! This is the rule I follow when making all cookies and it works every time.

Spicy Pumpkin Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
This was really good! I made one minor change to ensure my family would eat it. I only used great white northern beans and black beans since my kids don't care for kidney. I drained the beans, and while the pumpkin pure thickens it nicely, it wasn't to thick. Also, I ended up doubling the ground beef and the seasoning as a result. I didn't find this to be sweet at all. Wonderful chili for something a little different!

Customized - Easy Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2009
OMG...seriously the best gravy ever! My husband made an announcement at thanksgiving dinner saying that everyone needed to taste the gravy because they would be missing out if they didn't. Too funny but very true. The only changes I made was that I used condensed milk since I already had a can open that I needed to use and I added a bit of hickory smoke flavoring. I also used chicken broth instead of turkey drippings or stock as we deep fried our turkey and my grocery store didn't have any turkey stock. My sister-in-law says she hates gravy but had seconds of this one! This will now be my holy grail gravy! UPDATE: I made a 2nd time but made it a tad different to have as a sauce over chicken and rice. I just made a bit less and used more flour to make it thicker. It was excellent this way too!
