EDIT: Thought I might add that I used cheap clams, That's probably why it needed more-even w/ so many cans, it still didn't taste too "clamy". Then again, I love clams!! END EDIT.
This was wonderful. My first time making clam chowder and it turned out better than any I'd ever had at restaraunts. I used 8 6.5 oz cans of clams and I think I'll put 10 in next time. I put more of each vegtable than what they say...and about a cup more 1/2-n-1/2. Very simple to make and it was very rich and hearty.
