Cake Mix Cookies IV

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2006
This recipe was fabulously easy. I used a white cake mix and a large bar of chocolate with almonds cut up into chunks. I made one batch with really small bite sized cookies for the kids, and another with big cookies for the adults. Both times the cookies rounded out beautifully and were just the right thickness. They are on the sweetside, I think next time I will try it with chocolate cake and white chocolate chips. After I baked the cookies, while they were still slightly warm I put them into a ziplock and they sayed perfectly moist and chewy. Wonderful! Could NOT be easier than this. The cookies LOOK very nice too!

Quick and Easy Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
These smelled very yummy before I baked them, but for some reason they didn't bake the way they should have, and it took 45 minutes for the middle to finish cooking and the outside was a little burnt. They are also oily, but I wonder if that is because of the margerine I used. Either way I do not like the flavor or the consistency. I will keep looking for just the right brownie recipe.

Easy Dump Cake

I enjoyed this recipe. I used chocolate cake mix instead of yellow. It was sweet, dense and moist and needed no icing. My kids really enjoyed it. I didn't use the chocolate chips, but I think I will next time :)

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2006
My family RAVED over this! We added all the sugar and it was just right. We also added Strawberries! YUM! We used 6 lemons in order to get the ammount of lemon juice we needed, however I did microwave each lemon for 10 seconds and rolled it on the counter prior to squeezing :)

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: May 25, 2006
This was so good. I used boneless and skinless chicken thighs and cooked for an hour. I didn't have to do any basting because the sauce covered the chicken, but half way through i did flip them once. This goes perfect with white rice and steamed veggies.

This was delish! I served it with noodles and asparagus. The next day for leftovers I had it with a salad. It is so easy to make.

No-Cream Pasta Primavera

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
This was just okay. I liked all the veggies in it but for some reason It didn't satisfy my tastebuds like I thought it would. I actually thought that it tasted better the next day after it had sat in the fridge overnight. I liked it as a chilled pasta dish better.

This was so delicous!! At the end of simmering the sauce and chicken I did remove the lid and brought it to a boil so that some of the sauce could cook down and thicken up.

Shrimp Tempura

Reviewed: May 14, 2006
We did not use this batter recipe for shrimp, and omitted the marinate, but i used the basic tempura batter on onion rings and chicken and it was lovely. It worked the best on the chicken, it stuck perfectly and was SO tasty. The onion rings were good too, but for that particular veggie the batter was a tiny bit too thin. It was SO good though. And perfect since we always have everything on hand anyways. I have already passed this recipe on to my mom! Its wonderful!

Banana Cake II

Reviewed: May 11, 2006
This was the best banana cake I have ever had. It is so moist, light and fluffy. I did add 1/2 TBS of cinnamon and instead of using sour milk I used 1/2 cup of sour cream and 1/4 cup milk. This was so good plain I didn't even bother frosting it. Thanks for the recipe.

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: May 9, 2006
I love this recipe and have already made it a few times. I found that it's better to cut up the chicken in smaller bit size pieces after cooking it and adding all of it to the sauce, it absorbs the flavors better. I also sauted some mushrooms and added it to the sauce as well.

Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

This was a good cake but i should have taken the other reviewers advice to not use so much oil and substitute applesauce. It was WAY too oily for my taste, but the flavor of the cake was great.

This recipe was so delicious. I have never made chicken thighs this good. It takes some time to cook but it is well worth the wait. I served it along side mashed potatoes and asparagus as suggested. I think it would also go great with some pasta. Thanks for the recipe!

Grilled Cilantro Salmon

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2006
This is so simple and delicous. I did a few things different though. I cooked the salmon in the oven on a pan lined with foil and at the end of cooking I taste-tested it and all it needed was a good pinch of kosher salt spinkled over the top. I served it with rice pilaf and cooked spinach. It was very good.

Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2006
This was sooooo delicous, I loved it. The chicken turns out so tender and juicy. This is simple too and full of flavors. I took the suggestion of another reviewer. I added red and yellow peppers, mushrooms, onion, extra garlic, and chardonnay wine. I sauted the veggies seperate and added the wine along with the lemon juice. It was so great. Had it for left overs today, and it was just as good.

Mom's Best Waffles

We throughoughly enjoyed this as a quick go to recipe. My husband was working late and the girls and I were looking for a fun, quick recipe and came across this one. It was VERY fast and I always have all the ingredients on hand. Everyone really liked them and even my picky 1 year old happily ate them. They were best eaten right away, nice and piping hot!
