Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
I made this exactly as the recipe is, and they were absolutely delightful. Light, fluffy, and totally yummy. I topped mine with an egg wash too as it made them look prettier.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
This is really tasty. I used left over rice, and it was sweet and creamy. I left out the raisins, and took the advice to add the sugar after the rice cooked in the milk, and it was very warm and comforting.

Bananas 'N' Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
This recipe is just fabulous! Lovely, from scratch, soft and moist. It took me about 3 medium sized bananas and i used 3/4 brown sugar and the rest white sugar. I made a bundt cake and some banana cupcakes, and they were all delicious. I used the Vanilla Glaze recipe from this website and it was wonderful, beautiful and fun and very simple. This recipe is a keeper for sure. The taste is similar to banana bread but soft and moist like cake and definetly sweeter.

Love this recipe, I used tablespoons instead of teaspoons on the milk and butter. It spread just beautifully and was thick and white, and very tasty

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
Oh wow, I have made a LOT of different chocolate chip cookie recipes since its one of the only baked goodies my husband will eat and this is by FAR the best I have EVER, ever made. They are way better the next day, chewy and soft - SO good. I used chocolate chunk chips and it was even better. I halved the recipe, since it makes a TON of cookies and made it exactly as the recipe calls for and was absolutely thrilled to give these to my husband for valentines day!

Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
These were amazing!!! I used did use egg roll wrappers, and did not freeze, just fried them up. Also used Cilantro rather than the Parsley. So yummy and will be making often! As another review suggested I made Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce to go with it.

Lemon Pie Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
I made this recipe exactly as written, except for the zest which accidentally got thrown away before I baked the dessert. This is SO good, 1/4 of it is already gone, and it hasn't even cooled yet. So simple, I had everything on hand, and I adore the thick soft buttery shortbread crust.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
I really enjoy this recipe. Simple, ingredients I have on hand already (other than the candies) And I often make it with out the PB cups just for a PB cookie. If you take it out when the edges are set but before the middle is completely firm you get a chewy soft PB cookie. Delightful! I roll mine into balls, roll them in sugar and press them down with a fork criss cross, so you get the traditional marks. Fun to do with the kids.

Cocktail Meatballs I

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
The meatballs were wonderful however; I am giving this a fourstar for the fact that I did change the sauce and baked the Meatballs rather than fry. I Reduced the Grape Jelly to 3/4 cup as a previous review indicated. I am glad I did as it would have been too sweet. I also added some Grainy Mustard and little Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce for a kick. Next time I am thinking I might add a few Red Pepper flakes. My Family loved them and I will be making again!

Chicken Broth in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
I roasted a chicken for dinner last night, and put all the drippings and the bones of the chicken in the crock pot, along with a whole onion, 4 stalks of celery a handfull of baby carrots and a clove of garlic and some peppercorns and let it stew over night. When I woke up I had a dark, rich, and clear stock, that I poured through a cheese cloth. It turned out fantasticly and tastes SO good. I'm really looking forward to using it with my stuffing for Thanksgiving and gravies and soups. I will use this recipe again and again!

Wonderful Short Ribs

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
Even though I did make a few changes I am still going to rate this one a 5*. I used boneless short ribs as that is what I had on hand. ( I think this would have been even better with the bone in one's as the bone gives it some much more flavor.) I browned them in Olive Oil first and than sautéed the Onions in the drippings along with three cloves of minced garlic. I than de-glazed the pan with about a 1/2 cup of red wine. After these changes I followed the recipe to the T, with the exception of omitting some of the Salt. They turned out Amazing and will defiantly be making again. I served them with Roasted Garlic/Mustard Mashed Potatoes. Yummy!!!!!!!

Best Ziti Ever

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2008
This dish is a large meal! Especially for the 4 of us. I should have cooked the pasta to al-dente instead of the time amount for the pasta, because 45 minutes later my noodles were over cooked and the dish was a little on the dry side.

Coconut Poke Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
Tasty just right for my sugar tooth friend who adores coconut. THough I took the advice to use a spoon handle and that was really bad advice, it left my cake full of huge holes. Next time I will just stick with the recipe and use a large pronged fork. I also made some cupcakes, and they turned out nice too!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2008
This was awesome! I followed the recipe exact except I did use a pint of fat free half and half and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch to thicken instead of heavy cream and it turned out perfect. So this was a guilt free dinner for us with wonderful flavors, will be making again!

Red Velvet Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2008
This cake had an excellent flavor, although I would have like it to be a little more moist, it is still a keeper. I did not make the frosting suggested, instead I made cream cheese frosting...it was perfect. It went well with my daughters "clifford the big red dog" birthday.
