Cheese Fondue

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
Awesome! Made as recipe indicated with a squeeze of lemon juice at the end to even out the cheese. Also rubbed my pot with garlic. Next time will throw in a couple of cloves. Served with Apples, grapes, sausage, and crusty bread. Huge hit and cannot wait to make it again!!!

Ellen Szaller's Mashed Potato Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
I made these in a pinch with instant potatoes and everyone enjoyed them. I omitted the spices and corn syrup and added a bit of extra milk and green onion in addition to the white onion and some onion powder, since my husband loves these oniony.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
I loved this! I was short on time when I made it so for the sauce I just sauteed the amount of garlic and onion in the olive oil and added jarred spaghetti sauce to it and it tasted great that way. I also added extra eggs to the meatball mixture so that they were very moist. I will make this again.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
Quite suprised that this was not as amazing as I thought it would be. I followed the recipe exactly, and it was too dry for me. If you like creamy, gooey mac and cheese than this is not the recipe for you. I don't think that I will make this again and if I do I will need to make modifications to get the taste that I like.

Lemon Curd

This is the perfect balance of sweet and tart for me. I have made it in the microwave, which works. But for me, double boiler is the best. I made this to pour over some no bake cheesecake.

Lighter Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
Yum! I halved this recpie and mixed these up with my 4 year old daughter and it was a lot of fun. We added strawberries too, and a little extra banana and milk like the other reviews reccomended. Tasty, although next time I think I'll try it with brown sugar. The halved recpie made 10 small muffins for us.

Crispy Chicken Strips

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
This was wonderful. I have made these several ways (including the original recipe) and all are tasty. I have subbed cracker crumbs for the bread crumbs, and even flour for the bread crumbs in a pinch and my family enjoyed all of them. I used regular eggs as we do not usually have egg substitute on hand. I also added in salt, pepper and onion powder to my mix. I have used regular chicken breads, and chicken tenderloins with this recipe, but the tenderloins are my favorite.

Simple Beef Flavored Gravy

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
This was great for a quick last minute gravy. I didn't want to freak the kids out with chunks of onions so I used onion powder, but otherwise, everyone enjoyed it. I was making a very quick last minute meal and this was perfect, I'll definetly be using this one again.

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
Very good! However, it could be "Excellent" with a few minor changes. I made as directed with the exception of the following: I only added 1/3 cup oil. I used Olive Oil. Also added two cloves chopped garlic. Did not measure the Cilantro or the Green Onions but I know I put much more than the recipe called for. Don't skimp on these as they make the recipe!!! Next time I will use fresh Ginger and add some canned oranges or thinly sliced carrots for color. Will also add some toasted Peanuts. I think a crunch factor was the missing ingredient.

Blueberry Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
My blueberry sauce was SO good. I left out the cinnamon, per presonal preference, and blended it after it was done cooking. I thought it was fantastic right off of the stove, and even better the next day. I love the use of orange juice. I used this on pancakes, over ice cream, on angel food cake. YUM!

Decorator Frosting I

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
I bake all the time, and make frosting all the time. Even though this is really white, and will never go bad in the fridge, that's about all it's good points. The taste of this frosting is awful, and I loathe the thought of feeding pure shortening and sugar to anyone!! I make buttercream reguarly and achieve a very white frosting by using land o lakes butter, and whipping it a tiny bit. It's pipeable, tasty and white.

Supreme Strawberry Topping

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
we enjoy this recipe a lot. I added all my strawberries to the pan, and cooked them all until they were soft, and then poured it into my food processor for a smoother sauce. I have a son with a disability and the big chunks really bother him. We have poured this on french toast, angel food cake, pancakes, waffles, even stirred it into lemonade to make freckled lemonade. It's a simple go to recipe!
