Moms Goulash in the Microwave

I was really disappointed...my mom's was much better than this. I will be going back to that recipe. No one in my family really like this. It was OK...just not great.

Very yummy! Mine did not set up very well and was more of a thick sauce. Still..it was great!

Kids really liked it...but they LOVE ramen noodles. I thought it was good...but not outstanding. Will make again...for the kids :-)

they were good, but not something I would replace a normal cookie recipe with. Super for bake sales or needing cookies quick. They tasted like flat cakes.

Truck-Stop Buttermilk Pancakes

these were easy to make, although quite a large recipe. The intro suggests that the batter can be frozen? So I am trying that and will update a new review later. I gave it 4 stars because I have had better.

Salmon Fillets with Creamy Dill

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
The taste was good (used dijon). But it was so oily that it was hard to get past the greasy taste. I might use the sauce as a dipping sauce next time....not cooked, so that the mayo does not break up under the heat.

Sour Cream Enchiladas

These were really, really good. I used leftover fried chicken and left out the sour cream (b/c I realized at the last second that I was out). Will make again. Hubby LOVED them!

Pumpkin Cranberry Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
I've had better. I did try half applesauce half oil which others warned against so the rubberlike texture was my fault. I also used half the sugar which I would not reccomend especially if you use fresh wild cranberries. So overall not so great, I would try a different recipe next time, one that I can substitute some of the oil since that is my preference.

Yummy! Be sure to mash the bananas well so there are no chunks. It will bake better this way. I also added a T of vanilla.

Indonesian Pork Tenderloin

Very yummy...but it tasted like beef jerky, which I thought was odd. Everyone ate it and said it was good...but no one raved. Not sure if I will make it again. (I used pork chops cut into cubes and marinated it for 2 days)

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
this was very good. It is a little bland which is why the 4 stars. I didnt add any butter. I thought it was a strange thing to be in the recipe. My family devoured this up and got seconds. My husband hates cottage cheese but he did love this. I didnt have any mozz cheese, so I used cheddar blend. This makes A LOT so next time I should half the recipe. I am also going to add some spices, like maybe oregano, basil, garlic powder, and parsley.

Good....but not for breakfast. WAY too sweet. It is more of a pudding. I thought that the egg left a slight, but noticeable, "eggy" taste that I did not like.

this is quick and easy but needs to be doctored up to your tastes. My family needed a bit of pepper and some spices. Otherwise this is a good basic recipe.

Wow. These turned out perfect. I never realized brownies from scratch could be so easy. I will use this as my base for all the "fancy" brownies in the future (thinking caramel and nuts). The brownies were dense, moist, chewy, and uber chocolaty!! YUM!

Black Bean Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
The texture is grainy-beany. They were wet looking and not at all brownie like. I tried I really did. It was not good. Maybe I will take a different brownie recipe and add a bit of black bean ala Sneaky Chef. Maybe that will be better.

wonderful recipe. I used fresh Alaskan crab from Valdez. I used onion powder but I know onions would be good too. Go a little easier on the red pepper flakes if you want a kid to eat them, otherwise GREAT
