This is pretty good. I still prefer the kind you buy at the store but this is definately a good recipe.

Heavenly Hash Bars

Everything was great about these but the only reason why i didnt give it 5 stars is because i have to store them in my refrigerator because they literally start to become very soft within 10 minutes of keeping them out.

Candied Yams

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
First thing is you must drain the yams or else they will come out to wet. Although I drained the yams there were still a few problems with them. I try adding cinnamon for flavor so that made them better however I found that there was way to much butter for such a small amount of yams and then I also found them way to sweet. I would suggest cutting back on both the butter and brown sugar and then also waiting to add the marshmallows because mine just melted right into the dish and when it came out it looked ugly. After baking the dish I added more marshmallows and let it sit for a few minutes on the counter until they melted. I dont think I will try this dish again because I was simply put off by it

Moroccan Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
This is delicious. I left out the garam masala and it still turned out FANTASTIC. Perfect for vegans, too. The only thing that kindo f happened to mine is that a lot of the liquids evaporated out. It became more of a stew than a soup; but still delicious. I recommend this to anyone. Lots of fiber and protein!

OREO® and Fudge Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
This was very good. I followed the advice on doubling the recipe however I dont recommend doing this unless you have a lot of people to serve. I personally found it way to chocolately though and so next time I will try using a different kind of pudding for the filling and I will also double up on the cool whip since there wasn't nearly enough. Overall though it was very good.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
This recipe definately has some good flavor but I only gave it 3 stars because there is a lot of room for improvement. I love how basic the ingredients are but adding more will help with the taste. First it is kinda sweet so I would recommend using either a more tangy bbq sauce or just cutting out the brown sugar all together since its really not needed. Also cut the chicken into pieces before cooking because the meat tends to get dry in the center. I also added chopped onion and garlic and I would also try it with some pineapple. I served it over rice instead of a baked potato and prefer it that way. Good recipe but my variation is the only way I would eat it again.

These cookies are wonderful. I carefully read other memebers reviews and the only change I made was added 1 teas. baking powder along with the baking soda and cream of tarter. They came out fluffy and soft. Very yummy!

Easy Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
My husband is a huge fan of scalloped potatoes and he had two servings but both of us agree, it wasn't that great of a dish. I think next time I will pre-boil the potato's and then let them finish cooking in the oven. im going to use a mixture of different cheeses. probably medium cheddar and provolone and I am going to use white pepper, ground dill and garlic. to add more oomf. this recipe was good but it wasnt awesome.

Spicy Rapid Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
Very good, had a problem with smoking, but after I added the vegtables to the pan after the first 20 mins it stopped. Next time I will add the veggies at the start, as they were cooked through but not as soft as I like them. Cooked breast side down and it turned out moist and juicy. Love the high heat cooking, the skin was brown and crispy, just the way I like it. Needs an extra 10-15 min cooking time.

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
These enchiladas were GREAT! I covered half of each enchilada with red enchilada sauce and half green chili sauce. I also topped them with shredded lettuce and tomato. We ate them by themselves with no rice and got full halfway through. They have a restaurant appearance but a great homemade taste. I will never use another recipe again, this is by far one of my favorite meals yet. Thanks!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
I would have given these cookies a 5 for their taste but I gave them 4 stars instead because they didn't come out thick and chewy like the picture indicates. Instead they came out flat and crispy around the edges. I may have to check my oven but these sure are great cookies. Definatly put them in sugar before trying to roll them

Chocolate Frosting III

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
Did not have chocolate squares so I used 6 tbs cocoa powder and 2 tbs veg oil as another reviewer did and added about another 1/2 to 3/4 more powdered sugar. It separated a bit but after mixing it with the powdered sugar it turned out great. So don't sweat it if it separates while you are cooking it. It works out in the end after mixing. My sister said it was the best she ever had, and I agree with her. Used it on brownies as suggested and they were delicious!!!

Korean BBQ Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: May 8, 2009
Im giving this 4 stars because my husband really likes it and he doesnt usually like chicken all that much. But for me, it just isnt sweet enough. I have tried doubleing the sugar and it still wasnt sweet. Also, it didnt seem to completely marinate through the whole piece of chicken, just the skin, even with over 48 hrs marinading. I will try something ekse to see if I can make it a bit more sweet as well as make sure the taste is soaked all the way through.
