Slow Cooker Lemon and Thyme Chicken

I couldn't find a slow cooker recipe for chicken that was quite right at the time, so I made one up, and it has been a hit! Browning the chicken first avoids the strange pale chicken common to slow cooked chickens.

Old-Fashioned Swedish Glogg

Submitted by: Judy
An adventurous drink, glogg comes from an old word meaning burning ember, and you'll feel the heat when you light this Swedish mulled wine on fire and serve it hot for the holidays.

A classic drink. Stir, most Manhattan drinkers like it that way. Shake it only when asked to do so. May be served up or on the rocks.

This is a dish that will make your tongue jump out of your mouth, slap you in the face, and say 'Oh yeah'. Put meat and maybe some Pico De Gallo or salsa into warm tortillas to make tacos.

Porchetta Italiana

Clear out some space in the fridge because this authentic Italian-style roast - rubbed with garlic, rosemary and dillweed - marinates in wine for three days before cooking.

This hearty soup is a meal in itself when served with a salad and bread. For a spicier flavor, I sometimes substitute Mexicorn for the whole kernel corn.
