Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
We are a meat 'n potato family. This is the ONLY way I will cook a roast in the slow cooker. The gravy is amazing! RECIPE IS PERFECT AS IS. (just for calorie saving I use reduced calorie soup...no difference!)

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
I thought I had already found the greatest cheesecake recipe out there, but I was wrong. THIS IS IT! I love white chocolate and raspberry together, and it just goes so wonderfully with one another in this recipe I accidently used a 10" springform pan, but it just made it a bit thinner. I used oreos without the icing for the crust and it was divine

Garlic Green Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
DELICIOUS side-dish! I thought that these might end up being bland because of the minimal ingredients, but I was wrong! These were so full of flavor, I forgot I was eating a healthy vegetable. I used the french cut green beans in the can. Another time I used frozen french beans, and they were good but not as good as the french cut ones in a can. Highly recommend!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
This was way too greasy, sweet, and dense for my taste. I like fluffier and less-sweet cornbread. The consistency really threw me off.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
Maybe I'm not a chili fan in the first place, but I didn't think this was anything special. It gave everyone heartburn too. Oh well. :(

This was SO yummy and easy to make. Perfect to throw in the crockpot Sunday morning, then enjoy for Sunday supper. Even better leftovers.

Peanut Butter Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
I made this for my peanut-butter-loving boyfriend, and I think I FELL in love with this cake. I like dense cakes, and this one totally fit the bill. The outside came out fantastic, formed a wonderful crust. Next time I may put chocolate frosting in the middle of my layers, but the peanut butter icing was delicious too. Just the right amount of sweetness and peanut butter.

Ruby-Red Strawberry Sauce

Really delicious! I substituted orange JUICE for the concentrate and it was wondeful. I served on top of Chantal's Cheesecake from this site.

Make-Ahead Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
I made this for a Sunday supper, and wanted to get the potatoes out of the way so I could relax before the pot roast was done. This was the answer to not having to time the potatoes to be done right with dinner! These are great even if you don't bake them a second time - I keep stealing bites after they were done.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2008
We really liked this. It was delicious! My husband really liked the tang from the ketchup, however my son and I did not. Next time I will make it without ketchup (more like just gravy) and my hubby can add ketchup if he wants to. This was a definate keeper! Thanks!
