Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2008
I've made this a couple of times now, for family gatherings, and it's been a big hit both times. Thing only thing I ever change is the size of pan. Definitely use a smaller pan. I use 8x8.

Vanilla Ice Cream III

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
We made this recipe for the 4th of July, and it was excellent. I have a family recipe, but my hubby thinks it is way too sweet. So we decided to try this recipe, and it was much better. The only thing I would change is add a smidgen more sugar. It was not quite as sweet as I would like, but it is a great median from our ultra sweet family recipe. I also like that there are no raw eggs in this recipe. I'm expecting, so I needed a recipe that was healthy for me and baby. This definitely did the trick.

Chunky Marinara Sauce

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
This is a great recipe!! My son kept asking for pasta so I thought I would give this a try. I added canned mushrooms and bell pepper, I had some on hand that I wanted to use before it went bad. It was so delicious. It didn't take long to make and my toddlers ate it up. Thanks for the great recipe.

Divine Chicken with Green Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
This is a great meal for those hectic days when you need something quick. I didn't have fresh or frozen green beans so I used canned and it still tasted good. I liked that I had everything on hand. I made it with steamed rice and my family loved it, including my 2 two year olds. I gave it four stars because it seemed like it was missing something. I will make this again but next time will try and add my own touch to it. Thanks for the recipe!

Zucchini Patties

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2008
I have never had a zucchini patty before and wanted to try something new so I gave this recipe a try. I followed it exactly and they were delicious. I did follow the other reviews and did squeeze out the excess water from the zucchini. These were so easy to make and they went great with the Marinara Sauce II from this site. Both my husband my two toddlers loved them. I will make this again. Maybe next time I'll add some different veggies or cheese but they are great as is.

Marinara Sauce II

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2008
This was excellent and so easy to make. I followed the recipe exactly and it was perfect. I made it with spaghetti and I made the zucchini patty recipe from this site. It was great with both. The best part was that I had everything on hand. I will be making this again!

Roasted Cajun Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2007
This was very good. We didn't have shallots, so we substituted with half an onion and added an extra clove of garlic. We also baked them for an extra 15 minutes to get them a little crispier. My wife loved them! We'll be making these again.

Teriyaki Tuna

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2007
Very easy and very good. My husband and I ate this with steamed vegetables, and used the leftover teriyaki sauce to pour over the them. I also did not put any salt on the tuna, and they did not need it after the sauce. Thanks for the yummy recipe.

Easy Baked Tilapia

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2007
Quick, easy and delicious! I used crystallized lime powder (my new favorite seasoning!)instead of the lemon slices, and garlic powder instead of garlic salt. (We like LOTS of garlic, but just a little salt, and the Old Bay is sufficiently salty on its own.) Also substituted a Mediterranean-style vegetable blend that was already seasoned. Even my husband, who isn't terribly fond of fish, loved it! This is one of those recipes that seems perfect for an adventurous cook to experiment with... (ooooh - wouldn't salmon be good done this way!?) A definite keeper! Thankyou for sharing it!

Shrimp Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2006
Wasn't a big fan of the sherry, but we're gonna try it again without or with less. We'll see if we can doctor it up a little bit to our taste buds. The shrimp were pretty good though.
