About me:
I'm a thirty-something single mother of three kids. My Mother didn't cook much and my Father didn't know how to do anything but fry greasy foods. So I always wanted to be a good cook. I have three kids with very different tastes that provide a real challenge, when trying to cook. I'm a school nurse and very busy so by the end of the day I'm looking for something quick and nutritious. On the weekend and in the summers, I really strike out and try new, more difficult recipes.

Dutch Almond Boterkoek

Reviewed on May 5, 2008 by Liz in Crane, TX
I went in search of a cookie recipe for my son's project fair when he needed one from the Netherlands. Ran across this one and tried it and WOW what a hit! All the kids and parents were gathered around his project display and munching away. Everyone loved them. Hubby said the only thing he would like different is to drizzle warm honey on the top so next time I make them I might do that for him. Excellent job, thanks for sharing!

Blueberry Shortbread Cheesecake

Note: The pan used should really be a 9x13 baking dish. Sorry for the mix up.

Green Grape Salad

Reviewed on Apr. 8, 2008 by passionatefood
I've tried this recipe and it was okay. I make my grape salad with condensed milk, powdered sugar, whip cream and pecans. It seems to come out better and sweeter that way.
