I marinaded this for about 5 hours. It tasted pretty good but I wasn't wowed by the recipe. It's worth keeping in the box because it's good and easy.

Nanny's Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2009
for quick and easy this is wonderful. I didn't have tomato paste so instead i used tomato puree and I know that is more tomatoey than paste so I added an extra garlic clove, basil, garlic powder, and a bay leave like someone else suggested. Turned out perfect!

Glazed Meatloaf II

Reviewed: May 20, 2009
The glaze is wonderful but the meat itself it too meaty...needs more flavor. But I have to say this is the only meatloaf I ever scarfed down and it was pretty good. Until this dish, I've always hate meatloaf. I will try and spice up the meat mixture a little more next time though.

Zesty Tuna Salad

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
This tuna salad was a little dry for my liking and I have to say if your not a huge sweet relish lover, then try using dill relish if you like that better. Next time I will add more mayo and dijon and try dill relish.

This was a HUGE HIT. First attempt to making punch and everyone LOVED it. The only thing I would do differently is use less sugar. Taste great as slushy and regular punch. It even taste great spiked with Captain Morgan. It's a WIN WIN PUNCH!!!

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: May 10, 2009
Excellent Recipe. I would suggest if you are adding guacomole, to add more beans and taco seasoning. I added that extra layer and it was a very creamy taco dip. I love the creaminess but I like a little mroe beans. To much creaminess can be overwhelming. Quck and easy!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: May 3, 2009
This was pretty good. I did cut the chicken into strips, and cut the peppers into smaller pieces, added fresh garlic, and more mushrooms. I also used lowfat milk and cornstarch to thicken it up and I used whole wheat pasta and olive oil instead of butter. Tried to reduce the fat as much as possible. Still very good. If your looking for super thick sauce, don't use milk as it is a little thinner than I would like. Next time I'll try half and half.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2009
I made the spicy turkey burgers the other day and I would say these are just as delicious. Boyfried liked these better. The only thing I did differenlty was added seasoning salt to the mix, and before hand sauteed the onions, garlic, and added green chiles. I used whole wheat bread instead of buns, fabulous. They are even better as leftovers, ran out of bread so I ate it plain, and it was even very tasty without bread. Thanks for the recipe!!

Jenny's Grilled Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
This was quick and simple and very moist, although the flavor was good, it didn't wow me. If your using large chicken breasts and cooking on the foreman, make sure to slice them in half or butterfly them. It took way to long for the middle to cook and the parsley was almost burnt on the outside. This was light and healthy. Boyfriend loved it, I thought it was alright, but I'm more difficult to please. No need to keep leftovers because they were way too dry!

Pineapple and Banana Smoothie

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2009
I modified the recipe because I didn't have everything it called for.I didn't have a fresh pineapple so I used frozen pineapples, a few strawberries, and orange-banana-pineapple juice along with a banana. IT was an amazing smoothie. Giving it 4 stars because it was kind of my own recipe. Thanks for the base ingredients. Was definately my fav. smoothie.

Spicy Turkey Burgers

This was very very good. I did not use cilantro(was out) and didn't have ginger. I did sautee the onion, garlic cloves, peppers, and added thinly diced mushrooms to put into the mixture. Definately a Keeper. Thanks!! Very easy to make also and boyfriend said this was the best turkey burger ever, who needs red meat when you can have this. WILL MAKE AGAIN!

Fat-Free Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
I threw everything in the crock pot, cooked on high for about 5 hours or until veggies are soft. I also threw in a bay leaf, doubled the diced canned tomatoes(used basily & garlic flavor) and doubled curry, chicken broth, and added 3 garlic cloves, oregano, and mushrooms. Very healthy and tasty soup. Turned out great in the crock pot!! Thanks!

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2009
This was pretty good but it was missing something. The only change I made was I put 2 garlic cloves in the onion/celery mix. The broccoli did take about 25 minutes to become soft. Next time I will leave broccoli chunks also. I ate it with crackers cause it was a tad bit bland. Boyfriend thought it was fabulous!
