Garden Herb Loaf

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
I've made this bread dozens of times for years now and always get asked for the recipe. When right out of the oven, I smother it in butter and add parmesan cheese on top and it never lasts long! Its a favorite in our house! I've also noticed it cooks faster and more thoroughly if you braid it and leave it in a long loaf rather than a round.

I ate the whole thing by myself! Of course it helps that I'm pregnant and crave cottage cheese, but it really is delicoious. Added mini marshmellows to it which made it even yummier.

Our family really liked this dish. I mixed in the onion soup with everything else, and added some wild rice to make it a little more hearty. Yum!

Honey Coconut Salmon

I made this for a BBQ with friends. I am not a fish eater (it makes me sick) but I still tried it. It had a nice flavor but not enough to cover the fishy taste. My husband and all others who tried it LOVED it! I will definitely make it again (with some chicken on the side for me). Just remember, if you barbeque it make sure you put it in a foil boat.

I didn't have all the veggies called for so I used some frozen peas and carrots instead. It still turned out really good. I like it both hot and cold!

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
Very moist without being meatloafy (and I added the egg). I did cook then crumble the bacon in just to give me piece of mind that it was indeed done. Everything else was made per the recipe. This is my new burger recipe. Thanks!

Creamy Zucchini with Linguine

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
The rating I gave isn't really fair, considering I changed quite a bit. I'd say the original is a good base recipe, but add what you like to create more flavor. My additions: 1/2 and 1/2 instead of whole milk, doubled the garlic, italian seasoning, red peppers, onions and added monterey jack cheese in the sauce to make it slightly cheesier.

Stuffed Pork Chops III

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
Very delicious! Had only 3 pork loins so went with that. Used all measurements as prescribed except I used chicken broth instead of beef. The 'chops' were done to perfection (so tender!) by the end. I put the leftover stuffing mix into the skillet with another tablespoon of butter, about a cup more broth, and made a nice gravy. Spooned the gravy on the plate first, put the 'chop' on next and it was amazing. Definitely a keeper. Thanks!

Romaine and Mandarin Orange Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2009
I was pretty disappointed, considering everyone gave this recipe 5 stars. I thought the dressing was entirely too onion-y and the salad lacked flavor. Next time (if there is one) I would add less onion for sure, hoping to combat the strong onion flavor.

French Toast Casserole

I made this for a baby shower that was around brunch time and everyone RAVED about it. Sweet enough without being too sweet. Great with or without maple syrup. I doubled the recipe and made it in a 9x13 and even though it didn't look like it was all going to fit, it did. Baked it at the temp recommended for 60 mins. Really great! Highly recommend.

Michelle's Coconut Chicken Curry

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
I didn't have yellow curry powder so I had to substitute red curry paste. I did switch out the cauliflower for the potatoes and carrots, though. I had stir-fry beef instead of chicken on hand so I used that as well. Overall, I felt it was a pretty bland dish. Maybe with all of the suggestions that have been posted it would be better. Good base, though.

Easy Microwave Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
I'm only giving it 4 stars because I did add the 1TB cocoa and 1/2 c. sugar instead of what the recipe calls for. But really moist and made enough for 3 servings for me. Great chocolate fix! Thanks!
