Artichoke Chicken

Excellent recipe! Easy and delicious. I took another rater's advice and used 1/2 sour cream, 1/2 mayo. I also added a little salt/pepper and pinch of garlic salt.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: May 14, 2008
i gave this recipe two tries, both bombed. i don't understand all the raving about it, they are just plain cinnamon rolls, nothing special in my opinion. the first time i made them i used white sugar w/ cinnamon because i was out of brown sugar, and a plain sugar glaze as i was out of cream cheese, i baked according to the directions and they were doughy in the center. the second time i made them, i used the brown sugar according to directions, the only changes i made from original recipe was in the baking time, an extra 5 minutes, and the frosting, i used orange extract instead of vanilla, a personal taste prefrence. i will definatly not make these again, will go back to my favorite cinnamon roll recipe.

Stuffed Zucchini I

I substituted Romano cheese for the cheddar and added pine nuts for texture. I served it at a potluck and everyone liked it.

Chicken and Bacon Shish Kabobs

These were very yummy, I marinated them for 3 hours! Unfortunately, I am not a skilled BBQ-er and burned most of them to a crisp :( It was very sad but some were edible and those that were, were delicious!

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

This was yummy! A very different twist then our regular salad but the family liked it. Even the husband ate it, and it looks very pretty in a fancy, glass salad bowl!

Twice-Baked Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
This recipe was soooo good! The family ate it up! Made the mashed potatoes with lots of butter and half and half, used 1 cup crumbled feta cheese in the mix and a parmesan mixture on top. The flavor was so yummy!! I added more potatoes then recipe says and it was still great!

Chocolate Frozen Yogurt

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
Great! I used less sugar- only 1/2 cup. I mixed an egg (or you could use egg substitute) into the milk to add some richness, and heated it slowly. I didn't use chocolate chips either. When the mixture had thickened over the heat (enough to coat the back of a wooden spoon- it takes me about 20 minutes), I took it off the burner and stirred in 2/3 cup of chocolate syrup with the vanilla. I felt like some mix-ins so to the churned yogurt I added eggless chocolate chip cookie dough and light eggless peanut butter cookie dough dipped in chocolate. What can I say? I'm a sucker for cookie dough.

Sassy Steak Marinade and Sauce

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
I have to admit I was skeptical; I don't know why. But this was fantastic! Without a doubt I'll be using this again. I made this for Mother's Day and my mom loved it! The mushroom sauce is great, which is saying a lot because I hate mushrooms.

Crunchy Romaine Toss

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
Great salad! I used a lot of lettuce because it looked like so much dressing. I only used about a tablespoon of sugar in the dressing itself and it seemed to taste fine.

Southern Butter Rolls

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
I heated my water to about 105 degrees. These tasted great and were really easy. mine weren't as fat as I would have liked, but I'm sure that's personal error, not the fault of the recipe- so I'm rating it five even though mine weren't very attractive. :)

Annemarie's Lemon Bars

Reviewed: May 11, 2008
This one is great, because it doesn't require powdered sugar! I added the zest of the 2 lemons that I used, put half in the crust, half in the filling, and also added 1 tsp. vanilla to the crust. Oh, and a dash of salt to both crust and filling. Doubled the recipe and used a 12x9 pan. Really, really yummy! Thanks for the recipe.

Cornbread Casserole

This is a nice, quick side, however I prefered to omit the cheese and cover the baking dish to make it more moist and less crunchy.

Pepperoni Drop Biscuits

Reviewed: May 10, 2008
These were great. Instead of 3 TBS butter, I used 1 TBS light-flavoured olive oil. I doubled the cheddar (around 1-1/3 cups), and we had less pepperoni so I used what we had (around 30 pieces of pizza-style pepperoni). I also added around 1/3 can of chopped black olives. They did taste a lot like pizza, which is what I was looking for! :) One batch made 12 good-sized biscuits for me, and I baked them at 375 for 18 minutes. Perfect! Thanks for sharing, Sandra!

Coconut-Cornflake Cookies

These were delicious. We had no problems with the cookies sticking, since we used the parchment called for in the recipe. We followed the recipe exactly, and have absolutely zero complaints! These were very good cookies!
