Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
My family LOVED this! I added chicken to it for a full meal. Super easy. I made the rice in the morning boiled in chicken broth. Next time I will add water chestnuts.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
Thanks for the recipe! These are my new favorite cookies. I double the batch and didn't change a thing except the cooking time. I cooked them for about 12 minutes. They were a little doughy when cooked for 10 minutes. I'm going to make 2 triple batches for Christmas gifts this week!

These are a good quick cookie to use in a hurry but they are too salty. I will try them again with only half the salt.

Baked Lamb Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
This recipe is FABULOUS! I had never eaten lamb before and was looking for something simple. I used this recipe and I can tell you, I am a convert. I've now made this twice in two weeks and am going to a local rancher to get more chops! This is the only recipe I am going to use.

German Pancake with Buttermilk Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
This is a family favorite at our house!! I have 4 kids (all under 12) and I have to double the pancake recipe. I do not double to Buttermilk sauce and I still have extra sauce. I served it with strawberries and whipped cream and bacon this morning. I downloaded pictures of both.

My husband had sopapillas at work and wanted me to make them. This recipe was easy and they turned out great, first time. Make sure the oil is the right temperature before you start and they turn out even better.

The kids liked them. They really stuck to the pan until they were too cool to really enjoy the hot dog but then I don't really like hot dogs.

Grilled Mexican Steak

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
We loved it! I was a little worried that it would be too hot for my younger children with 5 jalepenos, but it was perfect. I made the marinade and marinated it for 3 days. I used the ground cumin also and I used petite sirloins. I grilled it a little longer on my indoor grill- close to 15 minutes on each side- and it was still pretty pink on the inside. I served it with Mexican Rice II. I uploaded a photo to share with everyone too. It was a great change from a traditional steak. Thanks for sharing!

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
Yep! This is a keeper!! Every single drop of this dinner was gone! I only had 3 chicken breasts so I cut them into bite sized peices. And of course I tweaked the recipe a bit. I started out thinking I had a can of stewed tomatoes... I did not.. So I used 2 cans of tomato sauce. Most everything else was the came though. Since I used small chicken chunks, it cut the cooking time in half. I served it w/ minute rice and corn. Super easy dinner that I will definately make again

Corn Dog Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
I NEVER give one star ratings. I really try to find something good about a dish. I liked the idea behind this dish, but it did not taste like a corn dog at all. AND none of kids (all of whom are corn dog lovers) would even begin to eat this. I obviously will not be making this again.

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
Wow! Super easy and really good! I will put this in my regular rotation for when I make Mexican food. I didn't have garlice powder so I used 2 whole, crushed garlic cloves. And didn't have chicken broh so I used 1 large chicken bullion cube and 4 cups of water. Couldn't have been easier. I was really scared of trying my hand at rice, but really, this was just too easy. I can't wait til I can make it again. My 10 year old ate 2 heaping plates full because it was so good! "Better than the restuarant" was her direct quote!

The Meatball that Fell Off the Table

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
We all loved it and oh my gravy! they smelled so good when they were cooking. I baked them on 400 for about 20 minutes and them turned them over. I didn't have all the spices, but I used italian bread crumbs and I think that made up that. I also added about 1 cup of minute rice. It helps suck up the extra grease from the not-so-lean beef. I made a gravy w/ the can of cream of mushroom soup, 2 packets of brown gravy mix and 1 1/2 c. of water. And then served it over egg noodles. I will definately make these again. They didn't take long to form and since I baked them, they were pretty low maintenance since they were baked.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
This was unbelievable! My family loved this recipe. I followed recipe exactly, except couldn't find plum tomatoes in my store so just used diced italian style. This sauce is not thick like speggetti sauce, but once the noodles are mixed in the noodles are covered nicely. This one I will definatly make again!

Chicken Enchilada Soup III

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
We love, love, loved it!! I doubled the recipe and I used all chicken broth and used 2- 10 oz. cans of enchiladas sauce. I really thought that it would be a little redder, but was a really water down orange color. So I had one issue w/ it. When it came to the masa... I made it and put it inthe soup and it came out the clumpy mess. So I run it through my blender so it came out a little creamier. Unfortunately, w/ the heat and liquid, pressure built up and blew my lid and burnt the livin' out of my arm and legs. But that's my fault! I then put the soup in my crock pot for 3 hours so it made my house small SO good! Thanks for sharing this. My family will enjoy it for years to come. In fact, I will be making it for our Christmas Eve dinner!
