Surprise Banana Cake

As written our cake was completely raw in the middle. It took an extra 20 minutes to bake. I might try again or this might just not be the recipe for us.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Clone of a Cinnabon

These are great tasting rolls! The first time I took these out of the oven after the suggested time they were pretty doughy in the middle..so I did the flipping them over as a reviewer suggested, and ended up baking for additional 30 mins, (and my oven bakes fast.) They turned out really good! Thanks!

Baked Ziti IV

Carne Asada Tacos

I am definitly going to make these again.. I just had to tweak the meat a little. We go to a little Mexican hole-in-the-wall and they have spoiled us on the best carne asada ever. So this didn't begin to measure up to that and that was what I was hoping for. But for me, it wasn't bad and we'll make it again. I added quite a bit of garlic salt to the meat for a little more flavor.

Santa's Favorite Cake

We really enjoyed this cake. I found the peppermint extract in the frosting to be just the right amount. I swirled with the knife just a little bit to get a chunky marbled effect..it looked so pretty! Great recipe!

Lemon Pie Bars

If you like the crust than this recipe is for you. I personally like the lemon on top and it wasn't very lemony even though I added an additional 1 tsp of lemon extract and there was barely enough filling to cover my crust. I will try again and cut the crust in half because it was good, just too much.

Island Kielbasa in a Slow Cooker

Maybe it was our Kielbasa but cooking for this long made the texture or ours soft and grainy. Won't be making again. I much prefer to saute the same ingredients in a skillet.

Caramel Peanut Fudge

I agree with some reviewers who said to omit the 1/4 cup of butterscotch chips for chocolate for one of the layers. Also, don't forget to line pan with parchment paper! (I wish I would have read that before making.) Also, when making the caramel layer I accidently put in 1/4 cup of evaporated milk instead of heavy cream..it still turned out great, didn't really need to buy that heavy whipping cream.

Swiss Steak Italian Style

I made this for dinner tonight and everyone loved it. I cooked it all day long in the crock pot. I also did deer steaks instead of beef. I'm always looking for a way to mask the gaminess of deer and this did it. I didn't have wine, so I added a little vinegar. I also added several splashes of worchestersire sauce and fresh crushed garlic. Toward the end it mixed a little water and flour to thicken it. I will make it again. Thanks for sharing!

Enhanced Spaghetti

I really like this. I have several kids who don't like spaghetti sauce and just eat the noodles so they thought it tasted great. It was easy and the flavor was nice so I'm not sure what the complaints are about. Sure, the sauce covers up the taste but did you really expect it to stick out that much?? Anyhow, I liked the cook time. Easy to remember. I will probably do this from now on. Thanks for the recipe.
