Allie's Mushroom Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
this was awesome!!! i loved the oil based sauce, however my husband preferred sauce, so i just made some marina for him to dip it in, and all was forgiven. now for the recipe, this is what i did different, however the actual recipe is wonderful by itself. i prebaked my own crust with garlic and mozz cheese, and placed in fridge night before. next night, preheated the oven, used thawed frozen spinach, mozz/montarey jack cheese. then put shredded chicken sauteed with garlic and onions on top. we werent crazy about the mushrooms, so only put it on a small corner just to taste it. added some fresh minced garlic and sprinkled on top of everything else and a dash of oregano and mmmmmmmmmmmmm. it was so yummy and awesome the next day to!!! :D its the first pizza without the fatty taste, and its so good!! not to mention a great source of protien with the chicken! :D

Bacon Jack Chicken Sandwich

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
if you dont like bacon on your burgers, leave it off the chicken. i used tilamook pepperjack cheese with real sliced jalapenos, and it was AMAZINGGG!! didnt have poultry seasoning, so i used McCormick season all, and didnt measure it, i never do. i also served with batter fries, and toasted the buns in the broiler with a little butter on them for 1-2 minutes. definatley diner quality!! husband loved it with bbq sauce!! he puts it on everything!! :D

Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
this was good. the only thing i changed was a 1/4 cup of soy sauce to erase the saltiness read from other reviews. i used this as a fajita marinade instead of tacos, with red/green peppers and an onion and it turned out surprisingly tasty. i marinated for 2 1/2 hours and it turned out fine. i also boiled the meat for 3 minutes in the oven, tastes so much better than pan frying and more health concious as well. we didnt use the salsa or onion relish, just homade guacamole! would give it five stars, but with other things inside the tortilla, be it fajita style or not, its hard to pick out the flavor of the meat, so it just tastes like alot of veggies with slightly seasoned meat. will keep as a reference recipe though.

No Fail Pie Crust I

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2006
While visiting my daughter and family in Misawa Japan, we decided to make an apple pie. They have wonderful apples here, very large and flavorful and crispy. Just right for a really good apple pie. So not having my recipe here I used this one and found it to be easy to make up and roll out. Made plenty for a large 2 crust pie and was very flaky and and tasty. I will make it again when I get home. I was extreemly wet here as we had a typhoon just east of us for 3 days. So it will work in all tempertures and wet conditions.
