Pumpkin Spice Cookie

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
Easy to make and taste like the supermarkets pumpkin cookies. I added 1 tsp of pumpkin spice and a cup of chocolate chips to the batter before cooking. I also had to cook mine for 14 minutes to set, the first batch was gooey at 10 and had to go right back in the oven.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
Hands down the best potato soup I have ever had. I omitted the onion and used a dash of onion powder in its place. I also added about a cup of carrots as well. After reading others reviews I added only 1.5 cups of milk to the roux and my soup ended up being nice and thick. This is my new go to recipe for potato soup.

Rich Danish Waffles

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2009
I was looking for a waffle similiar to what I get at a little coffee house but this recipe was not it. But, it was still good, a very dense, heavy waffle. It was really sweet. I would not make these every time I had waffles since I like my bisquik one's as well. But these are great for special morning breakfasts.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
So easy to make and also very forgiving. I wasn't paying attention to the amount of water and added 2 cups of water by mistake. I decided to bake it anyways and see what happened. Poured it into a bundt pan and it turned out perfect! I will make this again, but be sure to double check ingredient amounts:)

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

I followed recipe EXACTLY and these just were OK. My boyfriend ate them, but I did not. I guess I am just a Quaker Oatmeal cookie recipe girl. But, it was fun to try new things, I just don't think these were the cookies for me.

Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
I followed the recipe with the exception of adding a stalk of celery to the boiling water and then added a handful of egg noodles. This was a quick and easy way to get a great tasting soup to the table fast. Served with a warm loaf of buttered wheat bread. Perfect for a cold day!

Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
This recipe is so easy and great! I omitted the bell peppers and onions since I do not care for those. I even added crawfish with the shrimp. I had an italian blend cheese and added that instead of just the romano and it was delish. Thanks!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
I loved this! I was short on time when I made it so for the sauce I just sauteed the amount of garlic and onion in the olive oil and added jarred spaghetti sauce to it and it tasted great that way. I also added extra eggs to the meatball mixture so that they were very moist. I will make this again.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
Quite suprised that this was not as amazing as I thought it would be. I followed the recipe exactly, and it was too dry for me. If you like creamy, gooey mac and cheese than this is not the recipe for you. I don't think that I will make this again and if I do I will need to make modifications to get the taste that I like.

Brownie Mix in a Jar II

I made these to put in a gift basket for my boyfriends mom for mothers day. I added Peanut Butter chips to top off the jars. They turned out so cute, and I even got to taste the finished product. Great, a rich chewy, gooey brownie. These make great gifts.

Apple Strudel Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
I used 1/2 wheat flour and 1/2 AP. I didn't use butter because I was lazy. Instead I used 1/3 cup canola oil. I shredded my granny smith apples and even threw in some left over shredded zuchinni. Added some cinnamon & nutmeg but omitted then nuts (boyfriend doesn't like them). I added some old fashioned oats to the topping to make it crunchier. Over all I am pleased with this recipe.

OMG! Best grilled artichokes I have ever hand! Not to toot my own horn, but these are good! I didnt soak these, just put them straight in the pot with some garlic salt and pepper. Then took em out and dipped them and seasoned. Threw on the grill, and made a dipping sauce with the left over oil/lemon. MMM good!

Whole Wheat and Honey Pizza Dough

Caribbean Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
So so so good. The best quik bread I have made to date. I loved it all I omitted the apple sauce because I didn't have any and added 3/4 oil and 3 cups of zucchini to help with the moisture. I am not a coconut fan so I omitted that and I even ran to the store for the walnuts and it was worth it. I made one loaf and 12 muffins. Muffins cooked in 20 minutes so I tasted one while the loaf is cooking past the 40 min mark.
