Simple Southwestern Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
I made this as directed with no substitutes or add-ins on wheat bread. It was pretty good, next time I think I will lessen the amount of taco seasoning because it seemed slightly salty for our taste.

This recipe is very good. I substituted plain fat free yogurt for sourcream. I love that this recipe is lower in fat and uses fresh fruit!

Feta and Bacon Stuffed Chicken with Onion Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
I liked this recipe, but my husband thought there was way too much feta cheese in it, which overpowered everything else. I might try this again, using 1/2 of the feta cheese. It was easy to make though, and if you like feta, you'll love this recipe!

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
Yum yum!! My husband and I loved these, but surprisingly, so did my one year old! I put 2 garlic cloves in the water w/ the potatoes, and then I also added 2 minced cloves to the potatoes when I mashed them. They were great. I didn't use the sesame seeds though. I thought the white pepper really added a nice touch. Great recipe!

Spinach Tomato Tortellini

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2009
My family and I loved this dish...my one year old kept asking for more! It was so simple, and it is delicious. I actually didn't have any cream on hand, but I had everything else, so I just used evaporated milk in place of the cream and it turned out great. I'll definitely make this one again!

Favorite Banana Blueberry Quick Bread

I was sooooo looking forward to this, but I was a little disappointed in it. I thought it was just a little bland. Good, but not great. I might make it again, using cinnamon applesauce instead of the shortening, just for a little extra flavor.

Slow Cooker Barbecue Ribs

The best slow cooker rib recipe I've tried! The sauce is excellent, the ribs were tender. I did cut the sauce recipe in 1/2, and we had plenty. Everyone, even my one year old, loved them! This recipe is definitely a keeper! Thanks!

Mediterranean Crescent Pinwheels

The prosciutto makes this recipe very salty. I used about 5 slices of it, and the rolls were still very salty. I don't know how you would go about making these less salty other then to use ham or maybe some other kind of meat. I also added mozzarella slices to the roll to make it a bit cheesier.

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!!! It was great!!! I added a little vanilla, but otherwise followed the recipe. It didn't take quite that long to cook, but I think that my loaf pan was a little smaller than what the recipe called for because I had enough batter to make six muffins too. No big deal though. I baked the muffins for about 20-25 min. and the loaf about 55-60 minutes!!! I have used a lot of banana bread recipes, but this is the best!!!! Thanks!!

Really Creamy Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
My whole family loved this recipe!! I didn't have nutmeg or basil, so I just spiced it up with garlic powder, pepper and some italian seasoning blend and it was fine. I guess I don't really know if the nutmeg and basil would have made it taste different, but it was still good and very easy to make. Thank you!!!

Pork Chops 'n' Pierogies

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
This one was just okay for me. My husband thought it was good but my kids didn't care for it at all. So I guess over all from my family it was so-so. I just didn't think that the pierogies went well with the flavor and pork chops. I would make it again without the pierogies and I think it would be better just as a pork chop dish. Thanks!!!

Oatmeal and Applesauce Pancakes

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
I loved this recipe. I used regular sour cream and sweetened applesauce because that's all I had and I added a little brown sugar, but other than that I followed the recipe. My kids loved them and didn't even want syrup!! That's when you know it's a good pancake, when you don't have to smother it in syrup!!! It tasted fantastic all by itself!!! Thanks!!!

Awesome!!! I didn't put the nuts or coconut in it though. My family isn't fond of them. I also used frosted flakes because I didn't have corn flakes. Added some chocolate chips because I took out the other ingredients. They turned out great and my family loved them. Thanks!!!
