Authentic Mexican Tortillas

These were delicious when warm and fresh. After about 10 minutes I understood some peoples comments about it being a little like pie crust. I will try again, maybe I messed up along the way.

I thought these were really good. I agree that dipping the marshmallows got a little tiring, maybe I wasn't motivated. I only did about half a package, but everyone loved them.

This was SO easy and delicious. I took it to a party and everyone loved it. I took someone elses advice and used a homemade chocolate buttercream. I'm sure I'll be making this one again.

Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies

These cookies were GREAT! I'm a terrible cookie baker, but these came out perfect. I did substitute some of the butter with a little bit of butter flavored crisco. Even with the substitution they were still wonderful.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

So incredibly easy and soooo delicious. Might as well make a double batch! I didn't find it necessary to take the chicken out at the 5 hr mark, I did this step just before serving, while setting the table and making a salad.

In a word awesome, Absolutely worth the time! I recommend that if you have a small clay cooker to use it for this bread. But it only made one large loaf in the romertopf (clay cooker).

Spicy Tomato and Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2006
This is very good if a little thicker than I was hoping for. More like a stew than a soup (even with extra water added). I added a little powdered cayenne and chipotle pepper since I didn't have any whole peppers. I also added garlic. Everyone loved this soup/stew! It goes especially well with Rye Beer Bread. Yum!

Medieval Chicken Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2005
I was nervous about what my husbands opinion about this would be. No fear he really liked it. In fact I think that he liked it more than me. The only complaint was that I over reacted a little to people who said that it was too soupy after cooking. My came out a little too dry. But the flavor and texture was still very good. I really recomend using the whole wheat pie crust.

Thai Peanut Chicken

This was sooo yummy! This was better than the Thai peanut dishes that I've had at restaurants. Try using rice wine vinegar if you can. I think that it adds more authentic flavor.
