This was so good. I used three large Jalapenos and also added garlic.

Sorry but I didn't enjoy this at all, and neither did the kids. I think I will stick to my original chicken Quesadilla recipe.

Bar Cookies from Cake Mix

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
I made the alterations recommended and these turned out great and were a rescue. I needed to make brownies for my sons class and thought I had a brownie mix but it was a chocolate cake mix. I used this and they turned out very brownie like. Thanks

Blender Hollandaise Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
Very tasty.I had an upside down blender (one of those bullet type blenders) which I thought would be more efficient since it was a small quantity. Even with putting things in all at one shot it was very tasty. I added a dash more Tabasco as a matter of preference and it was delicious!

Nacho Chip Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
I made this using the suggestion of adding taco seasoning to the meat while cooking (1/2 packet), and equal parts of shredded cheddar and mozzarella (needed to get rid of the mozzarella because it was getting old) and I thought it was really good and quick. I also added a little chile powder (about 1/2 tsp), medium hot (Chimasa Brand, pure new mexico chile powder). I think that made it a little spicy, but added a lot of flavor. My youngest son, who is the least picky, liked it, but my middle son who is extremely picky asked for something else. If it was just for me, I'd make this recipe regularly because it was simple, delicious, and quick, but since we don't all agree on it (which is very common, unfortunately :( I will probably only make when my youngest son and I are the only ones eating. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Cool Whipped Frosting

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
I used this frosting on a chocolate layer cake for my daughter's birthday this weekend and it was AWESOME. I generaly do not like cake and frosting I hate but this I loved. It was just right. I did refrigerate it for 10 min. before frosting to let it become thicker.

My family really loves this dish! I have prepared it many times. We have added chicken or shrimpies at times, or left it alone for a "meatless" entree keeping the weekly budget in shape!

Dave's Low Country Boil

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
SOOOOOOOO good. This was our first boil, and this recipe was a HUGE hit with our crowd. We did the recipe as is, except added a lemon (halved) and 2 yellow onions (quartered) to the mix. We also used 1/2 cup of the Old Bay and found the flavor to be GREAT! If any of you are with Scwans Food Delivery, we also used their Mini Extra Sweet Corn ears for it (2 bags worth)and it made it even EASIER if that's even possible! We will definitely make this again!

Summer Squash Slaw

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
I was in desperate need of a new way to use up my garden abundance of squash and zuchinni, and this recipe was PERFECT! I took it to a BBQ yesterday and it was a huge hit! Not a spoonful left, and I DOUBLED the recipe. A few people were shocked to find out it didn't have noodles. They were SURE it was part pasta. REALLY really good, and the dill sauce was REALLY flavorful.

Fluffy Whole Wheat Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2007
Our family enjoyed these last night. I didn't actually make biscuits though. I used the dough to make pigs in a blanket but they went over well. They rose nicely. Like others I did not use the full cup of milk and it was still so sticky I had to ad a bunch more flour on the counter in order to knead the dough. At first it stuck to everything and I had to continue adding flour until I could work with the dough. The stickyness is why it got a 4 star review I think the proportions of ingredients needs adjusting.

Pizza Crust for the Bread Machine II

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
My husband and I agree this is the best pizza crust I have made. I love that I can make two pizzas with it. I will often substitute part of the white flour with whole wheat. It has been the only pizza crust I have used now for over a year.

Chili Seasoning Mix II

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
This was very good. I used the ratios a previous reviewer wrote (2Tbl per pound of meat) Except I chose to leave out the 1\4th cup of flour and so it made it a lot spicier. My husband and I enjoyed it but it was a little too spicy for the preschoolers. .

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
My family enjoys this and I have varied ingredients and it still comes out good. I have made as written as well as have substituted the oil with applesauce and still came out great. I also will do half brown sugar and half white sugar and it still turns out ok. I even made it up as a dry corn bread mix and sent it to my grandma with a dry soup mix and she fixed the bread yesterday and said she loved it so it is liked by my preschoolers as well as my 85yr old grandmother.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2007
I liked the muffin part but did not like the crumb topping. I think they would have tasted better without going to the trouble of the topping it made it too sweet and I did not even put all the topping on I still had quite a bit left over. BUT If you ask my 6yr old he said he loved them and I asked which part the muffin or topping and he said "the whole thing"
