Dave's Mocha Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
I served this over rice, and it was good. I thought that it was a little too salty so it may be a good idea to use the reduced sodium soy sauce.

Neat Sloppy Joes

Best sloppy joes ever, though I'm afraid they're still messy! I didn't change a thing about this recipe, and my boyfriend and I absolutely love it.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: May 8, 2009
I have made this over and over again. It reminds me of how my Mom used to make it, but even better! I like to use the french-fried onions on top instead of potato chips, and the frozen peas are a must! I would also recommend adding just a touch of milk to keep it super moist in the oven.

Grilled Rock Lobster Tails

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
Wow, these were so good! My boyfriend made them on Valentine's Day. The marinade makes a lot. He butterflied the tails by taking scissors and cutting the shell down the back. Then he pulled the meat out, and placed it so it sat on top of the shell. Then he threw it on the grill meat side up, and flipped it once during cooking. They didn't even need to be dipped in butter, they were so tasty!

Parmesan Puffs

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
I was skeptical about these, considering the reviews were both good and bad. But, they turned out great. If people were having problems, it was because they didn't add enough flour. Add what it says, and then keep adding little by little, mixing each time until the dough wants to ball up. If it is too sticky, it will never rise in the oven.

Easy Asparagus

Good recipe. Easy, and tasty. I used red onlions, and it was strong, but great. The white wine really tops it off. I also simmered longer so the asparagus would be more tender.

Strawberry Angel Food Dessert

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
Yum! I accidentally bought strawberry icecream topping instead of glaze. The recipe was even sweeter, but it was still very good when mixed with the fresh strawberries. I made this dessert layered, in separate parfait glasses. It was very pretty as well as tasty!

Strawberry Avocado Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
Wow, what a simple and wonderful recipe! I sliced my strawberries thinly, and also added cubed Roma tomatoes, and red onion. Alos, I used cinnamon-sugar toasted almonds instead of pecans. The only thing was that the dressing was a little too sweet for some tastes. Since there is honey in it too, half or even 3/4 of the sugar called for can be used. Delightful.

Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
This recipe wasn't half bad. I think it is better re-heated so the sauce thickens more. I did also add less pepper, but not too much less. DO NOT use pre-cooked shrimp, because they tend to get tough...especially upon re-heating.

Krautburger

I used turkey burger and reduced fat pre-made biscuits for this one. It was simple, and tasty. The hubby loved it and I'm sure I'll be making these again. I also made some without the cheese, to again cut some calories out! :-)

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
Pretty good. I read the reviews, which are always helpful. I didn't marinate the salmon. The sauce did smell funny cooking (very strong), but not to worry it tasted great. Next time I would coat all the filets in the sauce better, doing this also a few times during baking.

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
This was pretty good, and pretty easy. I did find it hard to keep the ingredients in the sauce mixed. It was like I had to keep stirring it. A good idea might be to marinade the chicken in the sauce a few hours before getting started on the cooking.

Aussie Chicken

I really enjoy this recipe! 4 servings does make an aweful lot of sauce, so I always cut it in half for that reason. Also, I like to use chopped or sliced Roma tomatoes on top for those that don't like mushrooms.

Speedy Ice Cream

My kids and I love this recipe. The only problem we had was when we added to much chocolate/ stawberry syrup for flavoring. It would just be really good chocolate/ stawberry milk when to much was added.

Pear and Gorgonzola Cheese Pizza

This recipe reminds me of an appetizer I had at a fancy and expensive Denver joint. Two things I would tweak is to add carmalized onions and instead of pizza dough, use flat bread.

Hearty Garlic Potato Soup

Absolutely incredible recipe. I've been known substitute a little of the milk for heavy cream on particularly cold winter nights. Allow a little extra time for the soup to thicken properly at high altitudes.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew III

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
I made this with some spices that came from a "beef stew packet" and left out the soup, so mine came out more like a soup than a stew, but it was delicious none the less. I may try this one again sometime with a closer follow to the recipe.
