Insanely Easy Vegetarian Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2004
I cheated, I am a meat lover so I added 1 1/2 lb browned ground beef and a serloin steak chopped and browned. I have never heard my husband rave so much about any dish I have ever prepared. I put all in a slow cooker for 10 hrs let it rest overnight then cook again on high for 4 hrs. 10 stars

Iowa Pork Steak

This was as good as everyone said, I did substitute 1/2 can cooking wine instead of the water. My husband was still talking about it the next morning, even took the leftovers for lunch.

Wisconsin Bratwurst

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2004
I was tired of brats on the grill because I always cook them to long, only to have a tough skin and dry. This recipe made me look like a hero, my husband was prepared to politely eat his dried brats and when he tasted these he had a smile ear to ear. These are bar none, the best brats I have ever tasted. I added a green & red bell pepper, no bun and served with a mayo/horseradish dip

This was so good, I froze the leftovers and used it for a last minute dinner, all I needed were the buns. It is worth all the time to cook because the end result is a meat that just falls apart with an incredible flavor.

Fresh Strawberry Pie I

When strawberries are in season, I have such a taste for strawberry pie, but not being a great baker I usually go to a Bakery to purchase one. This recipe has put a stop to that because it is easy, sets up firm and is better than all those pies I purchased

Modenese Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2004
I always think pork should marinated a long time to add to the flavor. This recipe seemed to quick to have that degree of flavor, Boy! was I wrong, these chops had a wonderful flavor, were tender and with a side of steamed carrots, it was a hit! Just seemed to easy to be this good, it's perfect for a last minute dinner when you want to impress someone.

Tzatziki Sauce II

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2004
I have always thought I made a great gyros sauce, but after I made this recipe, I threw mine away. I don't know if it's the mint because no one else had it in the other recipes or the yogurt. This is the best gyros sauce I have ever tasted, including restaurants. I have made it so many times I have the recipe in my head. Thanks
