Chewy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2006
These were okay. I took some of the suggestions and used WW flour, raisins ILO chips etc. However, I found that these are way too sweet for my family. I might make again but only with no sugar they are too much like a dessert with all the sugar. I also will try using wheat germ for some of the oats.

Oyster and Spinach Chowder

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
I loved this recipe although I did make a few changes, I used 2 lbs of fresh oysters and added a 1/2 lb of bacon (chopped and fried crispy) I double the sauce and used Heavy Whipping cream instead of milk. 8 oz of mushrooms and a red onion chopped. This is wonderful chowder!! Thanks

I made these in a pinch to go with cheeseburgers for dinner. I added some seasoning salt, pepper and a dash of cajun to my batter. I am so glad I found this recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2006
I must have done something wrong. After reading all the review, I thought these would be very good. They came out gummy and very dense despite cooking them longer than suggested. The only thing I can figure is that I used butter ILO Margarine but I won't try the recipe again to find out.

Blueberry Crumb Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2006
This recipe is awesome. However, I did make a few modifications after I made the first batch (the topping seemed too crumbly). After I pressed half of the dough into the pan, I added 2 T. of butter, another pinch or two of cinnamon and cut it into the remaining dough before sprinkling on top. That made the topping stay on better...Great Recipe

Blueberry-Lemon Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2006
I have tried countless pound cake recipes and actually have a very good butter pound cake. I needed to use up some bluberries so I thought I would try this. However, this cake came out very greasy and gummy like for me. I don't know...I will not make again. I will stick to my tried and true and just add blueberries next time.

This was great but I live in the Southwest so I could not resist adding a small can of chopped green chili's, it added that extra kick that took it over the top and made it a 5 star breakfast

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2006
This bread was okay. Nothing spectacular. I was looking for something with more strawberry flavor. From the photo, it looks awesome. I used 1/2 c. crisco ILO oil as I don't like anything with oil I also followed other suggestions to add more strawberries and I even added a mashed banana but still no strawberry flavor really came through. Oh well, at least I got to use up the strawberries before they went bad :)

Oatmeal and Wheat Flour Blueberry Pancakes

My 2 year old loves these pancakes and so does my husband. I make them will all whole wheat flour, skim milk and egg whites only which makes them very healthy. For my husband I add toatsted pecans or walnuts and sliced bananas.

Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Maybe I did something wrong. I thought this cake was VERY greasy. The oil is overwhelming and ruins the cake in my opinion. I might try again but use butter or shortening ILO oil.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

I wouldn't say this recipe was awful but it surely wasn't what I was looking for. It was very doughy more like a loaf of bread than any "roll". I won't make this one again.
