Pleasant Pork Chops

Absolutely Fabulous!! My Hubby's only complaint was I cut the recipe down and there were no leftovers. Next time I'll make the full 6 servings. I too used Smoked Paprika and it really put this one over the top. I served some of the sauce over homemade mashed red potatoes. Delish... Clyde, Thanks so much for sharing!!

Traditional Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
This recipe is identical to mine (and I *love* my stuffed peppers) except for one little thing. I always use Parmesan cheese. I add some to the mix before stuffing the peppers, and I add some to the top of the peppers after throwing on that last spoonful of tomato sauce/soup at the end. It gives it a really yummy au gratin topping.

Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2008
This was pretty good. I would like to give it 4 1/2 stars, but not quite 5. I also added some of the pineapple juice to the marinade. I grilled half and baked half and both turned out great. I marinated for about 3 hours - I think next time I make it I will marinate for longer. Served with rice.

Greek Orzo Salad

This was delicious! The only thing I changed was I left out the black olives. I had them ready to put in and just forgot. We had this with the Grecian Pork Tenderloin from this site that we put in pitas - excellent dinner!

Banana Chocolate Chip Dessert

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
I took the advice of the other reviews and used 1c sugar and less than a cup of chocolate chips since my bananas were really ripe. It's currently in the oven and smells heavenly! My son and I tasted the batter and I'm really excited to try the final product!

Taqueria Style Tacos - Carne Asada

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
I followed the recipe exactly and made all the sides. It was great! I will definitely be making this again. A couple of things I will change: I will marinate it longer - I only marinated for it about 4 hours. And I will possibly shred the meat - I think it would be better that way. I think maybe making this in the Crock Pot would be yummy. Thanks for the recipe!

This was good. I don't know if it tasted exactly like a jalapeno popper, but it was definitely tasty. I took it to a Memorial Day party and it was all gone. Thanks for the recipe!

Chicken Korma II

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2008
This was pretty tasty, but I couldn't get over the appearance! It looked like, well, I don't know how to put this lightly, the color of baby poop. There, I said it. I have had lamb korma at our local Indian resaurant and this didn't taste much like it, but like I said, it was pretty tasty. I will probably make it again.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
This is such a good treat, very yummy. If you like a more gooey monkey bread, double the sauce your poor on it before baking. But both ways is good. Like other reviewers have said, it tends to get a little hard within 24 hours. Tearing off a portion and microwaving it for 25 seconds does the trick to soften and warm it up again.

Pumpkin Cookies V

Amazing! I wouldn't change a thing. They are not overly sweet on their own which is perfect for our family. We decided not to use the frosting. This recipe does make a huge batch but I love this because we make what we want and freeze the rest in little dough balls, then put into a zip lock for easy thaw and bake cookies later on! Now they will be all ready for the next time we have a craving. Probably tomorrow, they are sooo good!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2008
PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT! After reading other reviews, this is what I did. All ingredients were at room temp. I used 1 1/2 cups of cinnamon graham crackers with 1/4 butter for the crust. Greased the pan all the way up sides. I decreased the flour to 2 tbsp, and used a hot water bath. Baked for 1 hour at 325* then let it sit in the oven for 5 hours. Then moved to the fridge. Not one crack, and no browning. I am at high altitude and it turned out beautiful! My other recipe... gone to the trash!

Yummy dessert! I used a graham cracker crust instead - I am not a big fan of vanilla wafers. These were so nice b/c you can have a small portion instead of a huge piece. I will make these again.

Big Ed's Cajun Shrimp Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2008
YUM! This was excellent and good for you too! I only had plain tomato juice so that is what I used. I also added a bit of Old Bay, but I bet if I had used V-8, it wouldn't have even needed that. I will find out next time. Thanks for such a great recipe! Okay, this time I made the soup with V-8. Honestly, I couldn't taste THAT much of a difference. Although, I will admit, it didn't need any Old Bay this way. Next time, I will probably make it with whatever's on sale - V-8 or tomato juice. Thanks again!
