Wild River Bloody Mary Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2007
I made this mix for Christmas day and I really enjoyed it. It was thick and yummy. I did use V8 instead of tomato juice but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. Let it chill in the fridge.

Sausage Egg Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
I had never made any type of egg casserole before. I saw this one and thought I would try it. It always bothers me when others do this, now I'm going to. I used mild Italian sausage, 1/2 and 1/2, not milk, only 1 and 1/2 cans of the potato soup, I added rosemary, basil, chives (fresh), garlic powder and 1/2 of a green pepper. It was a HIT at Christmas brunch. Thank you so much for posting your recipe. I will absolutly make this again and again.

Quick & Easy Layered Dessert

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
I loved this dessert! it was so easy and everyone loves it! I was a little worried that the cake would get mushy, so I made it only twenty min. before eating, but the left overs i put in the frige, were just as tasty.( and not really mushy)

Sour Cream and Chive Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
I loved this recipe! The first time i tried it I made as instructed and loved them, but my little boy was not so fond of the little green "bugs" so now i just leave them out. They are still so wonderful, I love the sour cream flavor, and it makes the potatoes so much tastier!

Country White Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2007
This is by far the best bread recipe I have ever used! Now, I rarely buy bread from the store. I do add to it sometimes, 1tsp garlic granules or use onion salt instead of regular salt. I have substituted 1c rye flour, 1 1/2c wheat flour and the rest white flour. I have also done 3c wheat flour, and the rest white flour. I have ground up nuts (almonds, sunflower seeds, and flax seed). So far my family has loved everything. I am almost afraid to try another recipe. Thank you so much for the recipe.

Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Not for the non-garlic lover, but I love to fix this chicken for myself...a true garlic mama! I often cut it up and serve on top of greens and sliced strawberries with balsamic viniagrette dressing for a great salad! Super, garlicky chicken with lots of possibilities!

Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
I found this recipe on this site years ago, and have been making it ever since! I use extra thick chops and it's fantastic! The only changes I make are to add 1/2 white wine, 1/2 chicken broth instead of the whole 3/4 cup broth for extra flavor. Also I usually use a cajun seasoning blend instead of paprika. Be sure not to boil the sauce after adding the sour cream-once it separates, it's ruined. I serve over cooked noodles. Very yummy!

You can also make these using lavender. Oddly enough, they taste somewhat like rosemary. YUM

This recipe is quick and easy. I never thought of adding lemon juice but it really brought out the flavors of the brussel sprouts. My husband went back for seconds! I will use this recipe again and again plus share it with my friends and family. Thank You.

Shrimp Linguine Alfredo

I LOVED this. It was as good as any restaurant. I used large shrimp because they were on sale. I also used a little bit of flour and parm. cheese at the end to help it thicken faster. Yum. My whole family liked it!

These were super tasty. My family gobbled them up. I tried another microwave recipe and it left them soggy and the coating made them taste like shake and bake wedges. These were perfect!

Neat Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
Yum!!! I use to make another sloppy joeo recipe which me and my DH LOVED but the kids wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. The kids LOVED this recipe. I left out the celery and onions but did ad a 1/2 tsp onion powder. I also took one reviewers changes and used 1/2 ground turkey and whole wheat buns for a healthier version. This goes into my rotation!

I really loved the flavor in this recipe and followed it exacty with exception of the cabbage. We didn't have any so I left it out. My kids didn't really care for it though. My 10 year old thought the pasta had no flavor. I loved it!

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2007
This was a good recipe. I really like the portions sizes for my three kids. I thought the meatloaf itself was little on the soft side, mushy. I would add a little more meat next time, maybe 1/4-1/2 lb. I also though the glaze was little sweet for our taste. I would make again though. I paired it with mashed potatoes and smothered green beans.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2007
Tried this recipe last night and it was so good. Follwed the recipe exactly. Very tender. Served with ham and cheese bowties. I leave the ham out of this recipe when I make it as a side dish and a green salad. My 8 year old son said it was better than McDonald's chicken nuggets which is a big compliment coming from an 8 year! Will definately make again.
