Butternut Squash and Spicy Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
I must have done something wrong because this was inedible. I even tried to salvage it by adding cheese to it. Maybe it's possible that I had a bad butternut. I'm really sorry but I did not care for this at all.

Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
My hubbie said it was the best pot roast he's ever tasted! Eating seconds today. I couldn't quite find dry onion soup mix instead used pot roast mix by mccormicks. Since I doubled the recipe I used part white cooking wine/part red wine/part water. I served it with mashed potatoes and gravy was excellent on it!

Butternut and Apple Harvest Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
This soup is simple, elegant and perfect for a cool fall evening. The only thing missing in the recipe as printed is a fair amount of salt. Also, to add depth of flavor and some more savory-ness to the soup, I added about a cup of beef stock. That may help those of you who had trouble with a 'too mellow' flavor.

Cinnamon Rolls III

I didn't realize how easy it was to make my own cinnamon rolls from scratch! it tastes so good fresh from the oven. recipe was easy to follow. do note that it is important that you proof the yeast otherwise dough will not rise. ps. i took another reviewer's suggestion and made a gooey icing using ice cream. scrumptiously delicious!

I was a little dissapointed in this recipe. I chose this because it does not use sour cream. I found that it was way too runny and not creamy enough. I appreciate you sharing it though.

2-Step Skillet Chicken Broccoli Divan

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
The recipes as it is written is a little bland so I enhanced it by adding rosemary, thyme, and garlic. Also, to make it a little healthier, I browned the chicken w/ PAM, used the reduced fat Cream of Chicken Soup, used chicken stock instead of milk, and used reduced fat cheese. It turned out VERY good especially when served over rice.

This is a FABULOUS recipe and cheap to make. This ended up costing me less than $2 per person to make. My only suggestion is to broil the bread with cheese on top for a minute or two. I would recommend Provolone or Havarti. Great recipe. Thanks for sharing!!

Delicious! I used Alessi Ladyfingers Biscotti for a different texture. Instead of laying ladyfingers in the middle, I chopped up lemon cupcakes I had and used that instead. What a fantastic strawberry dessert!

Thighs on Rice

Reviewed: May 20, 2009
A delicious recipe that is light and quick to make! It refreshing to eat a chicken/rice dish that is not cream base. I sauteed onions in butter for a few minutes before mixing it in with everything else. I seared chicken thighs on both sides before laying it on top bed of rice. Other than that I followed the recipe and ingredients to a T. yummie! my hubbie asked for seconds!

Tropical Salad with Pineapple Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
Love this salad, this recipe is a keeper. I used the fresh pineapple but I grilled it before chopping and adding to the salad, if you've never ate grilled fruit you will be surprised at the flavor enhancement. I also cut the oil in half for the dressing. I served this with my ever so famous Spicy Chipotle Turkey Burgers.
