Great recipe with the suggested changes. I put four stars because you do have to change some things. I tripled the recipe. Here is what I did:
I used better than bullion and made the appropriate broth. I also added another potato. I peeled and cut the potatoes and let them cook in the broth.
I used half a sweet onion, stalk of celery, carrot, and three cloves of garlic. I added a little extra flour, only used about a t of basil. And, when the cream was needed, I added 2 cups, half the amount, of whipping cream. The whole family loved it. Oh, and I used green onions instead of parsley. Definitely a keeper.
