Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2006
My husband loved it, he's a garlic-aholic. I wasn't impressed with it. I thought it was a little soggy. I'll probably make again and like others have said, cut back on the butter and see if that makes a difference.

Wonderful Banana Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2006
This was a very easy cake to make. It doesn't rise too much, but very tasty. No one complained that it wasn't fluffy...I used store bought cream cheese frosting and it tasted wonderful. I will definately make again.

I love how easy these are to make. They are fabulous. I do have to admit that it doesn't make 24 servings. It makes 6 servings, at least in my house.

Leftover Chicken Croquettes

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2006
My family loved these. Even my picky husband. If you like the consistancy of salmon patties, you will like this. I used 3 eggs, 1 cup of bread crumbs, and some taco seasoning and it was really good. The taco seasoning gave it a little extra zing. Very easy to make and good way to use up leftover chicken.

Oatmeal Raisin Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2006
These are so wonderful! I just pulled the second tray out of the oven and the first batch is already gone! It is hard to tell the toffee pieces are in there but I think if they weren't the cookie would really be lacking alot of its taste. This was one of my husbands favorites so far. I used golden raisins, since thats all i had and they were great.

Stuffed Jalapenos III

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2006
These are wonderful! I've never looked up the recipe, but my husband makes them all the time. I thought I would look them up to read reviews because I always get great ideas how to change things up a little bit. (Pineapple cream cheese,, yummy!) I've never even thought of baking though, we always secure the bacon with a water soaked toothpick and grill them.. Excellent, never any left!

Butterscotch Brownies III

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2006
I was looking for a butterscotch brownie recipe that I rememberd from when I was a kid. This recipe sounded like it would work. I tried it an it turned out great! In fact, after I made them, my family of 5 had them gone in half an hour and I had to make another (double) batch! I followed the recipe for the brownies exactly, but left off the icing. Definitley a keeper.

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: May 30, 2006
funny how everyone loves this pie but very rarely does anyone make them! My family loved this pie warm with vanilla icecream. I'm sure that since berries vary across the country the baker will need to use judgement on cornstarch. Mine came out perfect without. It was runny when we ate it the first day,, no patience to wait for it to cool, but after a night in the fridge it was perfect for slicing.

Mexican Casserole

I made this today for lunch and I gotta say: you know you have a winner when my extremely picky husband tells me to make this again. Just for that it deserves 5 stars! I picked this one because I already had everything in the pantry. It was so simple too! I am going to give this recipe to my two friends that can barely boil water it's that simple!

Happy Birthday Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2006
I made this for my daughters birthday and used a white frosting with some white chocolate chips and strawberries mixed in. It was more the texture of pound cake, I thought that sounded yummy, but it was the texture of pound cake with out the flavor of cake. I think this would make great strawberry shortcake!
