Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2008
10 stars!!! I made with Christmas dinner, and everyone loved them!! What a nice change! I will admit,, I mixed a few french fried onions in,, just a little,, and mixed a few in the cracker topping too. And I can't have green beans without adding a small can of mushrooms in too. I will never make the old green beans again!!!

This tasted so good!! It will always be my stew recipe from now on. I made 'Dianes Colcannon' potatoes off this site,, (mashed potatoes with cabbage and bacon, onions etc) and put a scoop of potatoes down on a plate and poured a scoop of stew over that. My in'laws were over to eat, and everyone loved it!!

Mom's Chicken Cacciatore

Very yummy!!! My husband and I love this recipe!! I made it according to the directions at first,, then the second time I pulled the meat from a rotisserie chicken and after I cooked the veggies,, I dusted them with flour,, let that cook a minute and then went on as the recipe called for again.. We like it over angel hair pasta.

Cherry Cheese Pie II

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
This has always been a favorite at my house and at potlucks. I always make two pies. Instead of doubling the recipe, I add one 8 ounce tub of thawed cool whip. I serve the pies plain with cherry, blueberry, and other toppings on the side. The pie is still sweet, a little tart, and creamy but never soupy.

I made my first turkey this past thanksgiving and I followed this recipe. IT TURNED OUT PERFECT!!! I used chicken stock because I could not find turkey stock but I dont think it mattered. Everybody was so impressed with my beautiful moist tasty turkey. I did not stuff mine and it still took the time stated to cook. I used a v shaped rack. Thank you so much!!
