Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed on Jun. 23, 2008 by MeredithCarson
My husband and I thought that this recipe was just wonderful! The kids REALLY enjoyed it as well. I decided to bake 3 and follow the recipe as listed, then I also decided to go ahead and pan fry the other 3 on a lower heat to cook them through. I then combined the sauce ingredients and preheated them on the stove as well. We REALLY preferred the pan fried chops rather than the baked! After we pan fried we simply drizzled the sauce over the chops and gave them about 5 minutes for the sauce to penetrate the breading as well as to cool down enough for the kids to dig in! We were able to complete the chops in about a 1/2 hour rather than 1 1/2 hours. We chose to serve them up with a large helping of buttery mashed potatoes and ~VIOLA~ once again dinner was a huge success!

Real Sopapillas

Reviewed on Jun. 18, 2008 by REBEKAHNORMAN
PUFFING YOUR SOPAPILLA: I realize this is somewhat an issue commonly discussed so I shall tell you all what needs to happen in order to puff your sopapillas. When you drop the dough into your oil you should then proceed to spoon oil over the dough. Yes, begin this immediately. Once the sopapilla is puffed be sure to remember and flip it so that it browns evenly on both sides. Don't forget that the dough needs to not be a thick piece, as a sopapilla should be hollow on the inside. This will happen if you use thin pieces of dough. I hope this helps everyone. Good luck!

Deli Style Brisket

Reviewed on Mar. 21, 2008 by gotpictures
This was the first brisket I ever cooked (many years ago) & my husband LOVED it. It made great sandwiches for him the next day. Over the years I have made revisions. (I no longer cook it in the crock pot) But it is still a great recipe.
