I make a similar dish, except I sprinkle a bit of cayenne pepper on top of the fish for an extra kick.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
The first time I made them I followed the recipe exactly and they were amazing. I tried them again with some modifications other users suggested without success (half butter, half apple sauce, adding cinnamon and vanilla extract, and used apricot preserves, although this last part I did like). I recommend keeping the recipe as shared

I enjoyed it. Used jarred spaghetti sauce instead of the stewed tomatoes.

We weren't crazy about this dish. The taste was okay, but the consistency and look of it was a bit off putting. Sorry!

Delicious! I added about 1/4 cup of mini chocolate chips to the batter and a sprinkle of cinnamon and brown sugar to the glaze. My husband liked them plain, but I loved them with the glaze. YUM!

I made this with a group of elementary school kids and everyone loved it! Since we had so many of them in the oven at one time, they weren't able to get crispy, but they were still good.

Ranch Pretzels and Goldfish

I added corn Chex and used Ranch popcorn seasoning. I didn't have dill weed, omitted the garlic powder and added a little bit of grated Parmesan cheese and the result was delicious! The combination of the ranch and lemon pepper was awesome.

Apple Cream Coffee Cake

This was really good! I made it in a square 8x8 b/c I didn't have a tube pan and I added butter to the topping as other reviewers suggested, but I think it would've been great either way. Really moist and very tasty!

Corn Dog Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
I didn't notice that the cornbread mix I got only needed water, so perhaps that's why I didn't think these were great. My toddler wouldn't touch them, either :( I will try them with a different mix next time. Hopefully they'll be better. **Update** I tried it with a different mix and they turned out a lot better! Kids at work really enjoyed it!

I wanted to try these cookies before the holidays to see if I liked them enough to give them as gifts and they were amazing! I can't stop eating them, so I'm definitely gifting these. Even though I was scared of beating the butter and egg without adding the sugar first, I followed the recipe exactly and they came out perfect.

Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
I'm giving it four starts because, while the chicken by itself had an amazing taste, the added ingredients on the tacos didn't go together that great for my taste. I used cilantro instead of oregano and the taste of the chicken reminded me of authentic Mexican steak tacos (which are usually served with raw onion and chopped cilantro and a splash of lime juice). I think next time I'll try the chicken on lightly fried corn tortillas, to imitate the flavor of the other tacos.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
I used this as a cooking project with a group of 5-10 year olds and they all loved it! A few of them even came up to me and asked for the recipe :) Used some different fruits (apples, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and peaches) but kept everything else the same. The chips are delicious!

I was not very fond of the flavor. I think it was the addition of vanilla extract. I also did not find it to be sweet enough. However, it was creamy, thick and SUPER chocolate!

Shrimp Scampi II

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2009
I thought this recipe was very good. I fried the shrimp first and put them in a dish. Then, I made the sauce with the remaining juices from frying, but found it to be very thin so I added 2 tsp of cornstarch to thicken it up a bit. I also added some basil and oregano. I poured it over the shrimp and topped it with shredded Romano and Parmesan cheese and baked it in the oven for about 10 minutes. The only thing we did not really like was the lemon. Next time I will use less lemon.

No-Fuss Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
My family really enjoyed this meat loaf, although I changed a few things. Instead of water, I added 1/2 can of tomato sauce(used the rest on top), 2 tablespoons of milk, about a third of a red onion and 2 garlic cloves. I used the stovetop chicken stuffing(it was what I had handy), and it was delicious!
