Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
This chicken was good, although I would highly recommend letting it marinate overnight. I marinated for 6 hours and I could barely taste the garlic in the chicken. It was very moist, easy to make, and went alongside spaghetti very well. Also, I used the recommended 6tbs butter and I felt like they were swimming in butter and juice by the time I took it out. I would cut it down to 3 or 4 tbs but definitely don't cut it out altogether.

Enchiladas Suisas

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2009
Not much to say other than these were AMAZING AND YOU SHOULD ALL MAKE THEM! I was worried about the sauce and thought I wasnt going to like it, but oh man the cream just made these go from good to absolutely perfect. I followed the recipe exactly, although I don't really see why you have to fry the tortillas, I think just microwaving them would save time, dishes, calories, and give you basically the same product. I also didn't use tomatoes, but Im sure that would have been a great addition. Mine took longer than specified to cook, but it was well worth it. My boyfriend ate 3(he's a small guy too) and then ate the leftovers for lunch the next day! Absolutely recommend these to everyone if you're willing to put in some effort for them!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
This recipe was SUPER easy but I must say that it's just too sweet for my taste. I think if I made this again, I would use less milk chocolate and more semisweet to make it a little less sweeter.

I've made this three times now and it's gotten rave review from everyone!! I too have gone a step further and made a strawberries and cream version and I think they liked that just as much if not better than the peach. I WILL make this again.

Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
OMG, this is the best peach cobbler I've ever had in my life. It's also the first I've ever made and it came out perfectly. I do agree with the person who said that adding the cinnamon/suger mix before it goes into the oven makes it a little misleading as to determining when it's done because I pulled it out of the oven a little too soon but it was easily fixed by popping it back into the oven a little longer. Other than that....it's perfection. The only thing I did differently was adding a little allspice and nutmeg in addition to the cinnamon.

Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
Oh man, these were SO GOOD! I pretty much followed the recipe exactly, except I added about a half cup of cheddar cheese to the rice/beef mixture which just held it together a little better, instead of the beef and rice falling all over the place when you cut it open. Like others have said, definitely need more tomato sauce, which might have helped with the bell peppers being softer, because I didnt pre-cook them or anything and they were a little hard. That being said, SO FREAKIN GOOD, I recommend everyone try them as is or with everyone's suggestions.

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
I made these the other night for my boyfriend and I and they were absolutely fantastic. I pre-mixed the patties and let them sit in the fridge for several hours, and that helped a lot with them staying together. I started cooking them on the stove (I don't have an outdoor grill) and it was kind of nerve wracking because of the bacon grease, but I just scooped some of it out during cooking and it wasn't a problem. I was afraid they were burning, because they got very black on the outside, but it was just the cheese cooking and it made them sooooo good! I also cooked two of them on my george forman grill, and while it was much easier they weren't as juicy. Wrapping the bacon around them tightly(I used 2 pieces each, one didnt go around all the way) really makes it easier to flip them. I hope you all try them, thanks for the recipe Jan!

Buttermilk Pie IV

I really enjoyed this flavor of pie! Smooth, vanilla and buttery taste...delicious. I sprinkled cinnamon on top. Forgot to add salt. I'm guessing that would cut some of the sugar. I'm making this every Thanksgiving now.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2009
Bravo bravo bravo!! This was fantastic. I followed the recipe's ingredients as is, except for adding minced garlic and celery. I also opted to chop the carrots (instead of boiling and mashing), celery and onions/garlic and sauted them all together with the meat. As for the potatos, the only thing I added was some heavy cream to make them creamier. After it came out of the oven, I served it with green beans and toast. PERFECTION!! KUDO'S TO THE CHEF'S CREATION!

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2009
This is a perfect recipe if you need to whip up something quick, easy and delicious. I didn't change one thing from it. PS: Many have commented on which to dipped the chops in first--the breading or the eggs. I tried both options and dipping in the egg worked out best for me. If you like them really breaded, having eggs on first will guarantee extra crunch. I love this recipe because I realized quickly, that I could either follow by heart or get really creative with it...(eg: homemade bread crumbs, different flavored breadcrumbs, shredded provolone or whichever cheese I feel like at the time etc...) and whichever way I choose-it will turn out great because it is so easy! Thanks so much---hubby has already requested to please please make again :-)

Taste like "Angel Chicken", another recipe on this site which I love! I think it needs a little milk or chicken broth because it's pretty thick and it has a really strong flavor. I will definitely make it again. Served over rice.
