About me:
When I was in the Air Force I was stationed at Misawa AB, Japan. My favorite restaurant was "Companions" just outside the main gate. I used to go there for the Wednesday special; Yakisoba and Cheese Gyoza. I really miss Japanese food, especially the sushi and yakitori. Oh, and the grilled squid sold at festivals mmmmmm.

Sweet and Sour Sauce I

Reviewed on Jul. 23, 2008 by Christy Hatch
This was pretty good. The consistancy was perfect. I thought it was too sweet and not sour enough. Next time I'll follow the advice of some other reviews and use pinapple juice instead of water. Maybe a touch less sugar, but not much.

Pastry Cream for Pies

Reviewed on Jul. 3, 2008 by Shea
This is a wonderful filling! It tastes just like pudding and is very easy to make! The only thing that I changed was that I only mixed the milk with the other mixture about halfway and then poured the whole thing into the sauce pan I was already using. I used a whisk and mixed it well, continuing to do so on a very low heat until properly thickened. I then finished the recipe as stated. I used this in empanadas and it was awesome! I'll definitely use it again!

Chicken Crunch

Reviewed on Jul. 1, 2008 by Sina85
This was great! It didn't sound like there was a whole lot of spice to it (I like my spices) so I added California style Garlic&Pepper seasoning to the chicken before applying the sauce. I also didn't have Cream of Chicken: Cream of Mushroom works just as well. Yummy recipe! Thank you!
