No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
I remember making this exact recipe when i was in high school having sleep overs. My friends mom wouldn't let us cook so we figured out how to do these in the microwave. They come out perfectly. Thanks for the recipe! It was nice to try them again!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
I was very excited about this recipe but less than thrilled about the results. I found it very "eggy" and not the thick rich cream cheese texture I was looking for. While the cake didn't go to waste, I'm still on the lookout for that perfect New York cheesecake, like the stuff you get at Carnegie Deli!

Nicely flavored chicken but too much work to blend everything up in the food processor.

I am blessed to be in the prison ministry for incarcerated youth. I tried this recipe to feed 100 people and it was so easy and has a fantastic taste!! I marked it as a favorite! I have tried the "oven ready" noodles and the "regular" noodles, and see no difference in them. I also tried this recipe with yellow and zucchini squash. It is great! This is a fantastic recipe! Thank you for sharing!

Slow Cooker Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2008
The recipe was good, and the beans were tender, but I had to add a few things to heighten the flavor. 1/2 tsp liquid smoke,1/2 tsp salt, 1 cup ketchup, 2 jalapenos chopped, and 2 tbls vinegar. I just like more taste.

I use this recipe all the time. I double the recipe and use regular size cupcake pans. I use an oreo cookie in the bottom of each cup instead of crushed wafers (or lemon sandwich cookies when I am using a fruit topping).

Irene's Barbeque Sauce

This was fantastic! Was very simple to make, and the taste can't be beat. Not to mention it's much healthier than the stuff in the store. I simmered on low for an extra 20 min. and it thickened up nicely! Thanks so much, I'll never buy the bottled stuff again!

Easy Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: May 28, 2008
Very simple, maybe too simple! The peaches should really be put in the pan first. They get tough and shrivel on top otherwise. I also, like other members, had to bump up the temperature and cook MUCH longer. It took an hour to be done for me. I also agree it needs some cinnamon, nutmeg, ect. Recipe needs many adjustments!

Good sauce. I eliminated the red pepper flakes and cayenne because it was for the kids but the overall flavor was good. Next time, I'd add a little more salt to round out the flavor. YUM!

These are easy and delicious. I hate when people review recipes and then say "Don't make the original recipe, use my changes". I like to follow the original recipe and then rate it for what it's worth. I liked this and thought they were tasty!

Caribbean Chicken Salad

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
I made this recipe for 55 woman at our Sisterhood Retreat at my synagogue. WOW!! Did it get raves!! Women kept complimenting me on the recipe! I'm hooked on the Honey-Mustard dressing, too!! WOW! The theme of our retreat was "Bloom Where You are Planted". I used 10" plastic Pot Saucer for the plates, plastic watering cans for the dressing, and put the pineapple in tin pots. (all of different colors) I put the lettuce and chicken on the plates, then had the salsa and pineapple on a buffet table...so the women could add their own condiments, along with 3 different kinds of Hummus and Pita Bread. For dessert we made Dirt Cake, from a recipe on this website. It was fun!

I have made this recipe several times now, and I use the rice mixture to stuff pre softened sweet peppers so that I can have a low calorie lunch right out of the freezer. I also add two chopped jalapeno peppers for my ``hot`` tooth.
