Sherbet Punch

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
I used Lime Sherbet, Ginger Ale, Lemon-Lime soda, and some grapefruit JUICE (not soda). It was a hit at the party, went quicker than the other one i usually make.

Wild River Bloody Mary Mix

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
Made the recipe just as it is (well, added a little lemon juice but that's it), took it on a Girl's Only River Trip in the summer and everyone loved it! They mixed it with a little vodka and celery and it went QUICK. If i would of known it was going to go so fast, I would of taken two bottles. Everyone said it was way better than the already made mix you buy at the store :). I used Clamato tomato juice

So yummy! Fell apart a little bit while grilling but they had a great flavor. I just wish my jalapenos were a little spicier.

Pecan Coconut Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
Very good pie and so easy to make. I added some chocolate chips to the bottom of the pie before adding the pecan mix and I think that pushed the richness factor over the edge. Next time, I'll stick to the original recipe.

Undeniably the BEST key lime pie I have ever tasted. I'm so glad I tried this recipe! We're going to the beach next week and I will be making 2 of these for my extended family. I'm sure they're going to love it and I'll love how easy it is! Thanks for the recipe!

Delicious! A little heavy overall but next time, I'll just roll them out a little thinner. Loved the texture.

A lot of work for an OK meal. Hubby and kids liked it ok but it wasn't worth all of the steps to make it.

Greek-alicious Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2009
If I made this again, I would not use bowtie pasta. It has a weird texture that I'm not crazy about. My husband complained that the dressing made the pasta salad kind of slimy. Unfortunately, no one wanted the leftovers and a bunch of it went into the trash. Probably won't make this one again.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2009
MMmMM so good! I have been searching for a perfect spinach dressing for so long and couldn't find one at the store so thought I would try this recipe since it had a great rating and so many reviews! I loved it! YUm! i have definitely found my official spinach salad recipe :)- Thanks Jamie! I added reduced fat feta cheese, used olive oil instead of vegetable oil. I don't usually like poppy seeds so I left these out, but i left the toasted sesame seeds in and so good :) . I would probably add a little less sugar next time, 1cup of sugar left it too sweet for my personal taste.

Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
I wish I could give these more stars. They were amazing! I did make some changes to them based on personal preference and I am only noting them here so that I can refer to them later. I'm sure the original recipe is just as good. The only things I did differently was used corn tortillas and instead of the salsas, I used Hatch green enchilada sauce because I couldn't find jalapeno salsa. Turned out delicious. My husband raved about them all evening and said that they were restaurant quality!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
I don't think that the root beer added any significant flavor but it did something! This was the most delicious pulled pork recipe and SO easy! The only think I did was add some salt with the BBQ sauce at the end for a little more flavor. My husband and kids love it and next time I plan to serve it over stuffed baked potatoes.

I'm not sure what happened, but this did not turn out very good. It broke apart in chunks and the taste was not that great. It stuck to my bundt pan on the bottom. I would not make this again.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
This was the best meatloaf I have ever had! It was incredibly moist and didn't fall apart. I made some minor changes; I added 1-2 tablespoons minced garlic, 1 tsp thyme, and 1 tsp rosemary and omitted ginger. Also, I put the loaf in a shallow baking pan and covered it with the glaze. instead of it being on the bottom. It was quickly eaten at dinner- no left overs! Highly recommend!
