Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2008
This recipe is yummy!! I kept the amount of beef, (fat-free) cream cheese, and Worcestershire sauce the same as directed on the recipe. I increased the gravy by using two cans of golden mushroom soup and a half cup of water. I chopped up a medium onion and added a generous amount of fresh, sliced mushrooms--probably 8oz as we love mushrooms. I also added a packet of onion soup mix and some cayenne pepper. I set the slow cooker on low for 8 hours. Love this recipe and will make again soon!

Very fantastic, basic recipe! I've made this several times (without the cottage cheese) and always run short on the meat sauce. In the future, I'll add mushrooms and finely diced vegetables to my sauce to make it go further.

Sweet and simple. :) I crushed my pecans in a quart sized baggie with the bottom of my measuring cup- I had no problem keeping the nuts on. I also had to bake to finish cooking since my meat was thick.

Barbecued Beef Ribs for Two

The sauce rocks! I took the tip from another reviewer and added a couple tbsp of alcohol (I didn't have rum so I used Irish whiskey which did fine). I used a hand blender to get a smoother sauce. Like others, I made extra sauce.

I followed the recipe exactly and thought it was better than ok but not great. Next time I'll do fresh oregano and basil then grill.

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
I made The Alfredo for dinner last night. My hubby and I have 3 almost grown sons at home, their friends and a long Memorial weekend, so I doubled the recipe. I switched the fettuccini for bowtie pasta and substituted the Italian seasoning with a premixed Alfredo seasonging package from the grocery store.. I mixed the bowtie with the chicken sauce and everyone loved it. Other than those 2 changes, I made the recipe exactly as it is written. I didn't omit any of the ingredients. The only complain, I forgot how difficult it is to make a good white sauce.. LOL, but it was worth it. I wish I could give it 6 stars. Thank you for sharing your recipe.

Ronaldo's Beef Carnitas

Reviewed: May 20, 2008
Loved this recipe! Removed all visible fat and doubled the garlic, cumin, oregano, and chili powder-- I threw it all into the slow cooker, added a chopped onion, 2 fresh serrano peppers, and 1 cup of beef broth. It took about 6 hours on high. I shredded the meat and kept the juices separate and added back to the meat as needed. Served with guacamole, cilantro, and salsa on corn tortillas-- I'll be making this often!
